The globalization of the world
economy hasn’t stopped the balkanization of global law. People across the
planet want to be able to set the course for their personal destinies and the
fate of those around them. Just how they manage to do this is where the law comes
in.
BWU is renowned for graduating the top people in the field of international law,
but each of the major campuses also educates the finest in local attorneys. BWU
graduates from our celebrated Pilgrims Law Center in Fez have gone on to become
the attorneys general of just about every industrialized nation, and they often
represent the finest in private law practitioners as well.
BWU’s law schools take their direction from the wisdom of India’s most
famous lawyer, Mahatma Ghandi. At BWU, we emphasize conflict resolution rather
than conflict escalation. The main premise is that it’s better to work towards
consensus rather than towards division—towards a resolution that all parties
are content with rather than regretful. This mindset pervades all elements of
our law schools, and it shows in the way that our attorneys work and live.
