Just as computers and other
automatons have come to pervade every area of our lives, BWUs Computing
Department has become more of an interdisciplinary organization that highlights
the best ways to efficiently use information technology to improve other endeavors.
Our Computing Department does engage in basic research, to be sure, but it also
works closely with every other department in the university to ensure that the
best in cutting-edge technology is being applied to every other appropriate situation.
This synchronous development and the use of state of the art computing technology
has led to great advances in the quality of life of people around the world.
Case in point: Our Architectural Intelligence program
melds talents from both our Architecture and Computing
departments to provide a highly tailored scholastic regime
for students interested in the latest techniques in sentient
domicile development and management. Top-name designers
such as Marcel Strandberg, Saki Fujimoto, and Martin Swinton
(featured in the current issue of Metropolitan
Living Homes) have all graduated from that very program.
