Although great strides have
been made in helping to curb the overpopulation of the planet in the past hundred
years, finding better, more environmentally responsible means of feeding ourselves
remains a priority. At BWU, our Agristudies department has been awarded literally
thousands of patents for GMOs (genetically modified organisms) and other amazing
advances in putting healthy, safe food products on dinner tables around the globe.
BWU has partnered with businesses and governments around the globe to become a
major player in reclaiming depleted farmlands and rebuilding devastated rainforests.
We are opening new frontiers in food production with projects like the Krishna
Hydroponic Ranch on the Sri Lankan atoll, Sarimoto recombinant kelp manufacturing,
and the massive Amundsen Garden Farms in Antarctica. With the reduction in the
amount of available landmass over the past century, BWU advances like these have
helped to bring our society back from the brink of destruction.
