-Some Character History: From the first day she could hold a wooden paddle in her tiny baby hands, Misty Xiao has had one ambition in life -- to become the most dominant figure in the history of international table tennis. In 1999, her destiny seemed assured when she qualified to compete in the World Table Tennis Championships. Misty advanced to the quarter-finals with ease, and was two points away from moving on to the semis, when disaster struck. In the middle of a heated rally, Misty slipped in a puddle of soda spilled on the floor by a clumsy spectator. She fell and injured her elbow. Ignoring the protests of her trainer, Misty attempted to finish the set, but the incident had shaken her physically and mentally, and she ultimately lost the game. Misty went home to Hong Kong, vowing to return someday and finish what she'd started. After weeks of rehabilitation, Misty's arm was stronger than ever -- *too* strong, it turned out, for she could now smash the ball hard enough to crack it in two! Unfortunately, while she had her power back, she never regained her finesse, and could no longer play table tennis at the level she used to. Discouraged but optimistic, Misty decided to leave home and travel overseas, hoping to seek inspiration from her heroes and heroines in America. In 2001, her journey led her to Planet Wrestling.
