Believe it or not, what you'll find below is a first installment of some good ol' E-WCW Nostalgia. Things were different back then, with the organization very much still budding while it was run by a guy by the name of Scott Wheeler, if I'm not mistakin', who openned the place in late 1996. This match, entitled the "Battle Rumble", originally took place on April 9th, 1997, and had been designed to crown the first-ever E-WCW World Heavyweight Champion in a heated over-the-top-rope battle royal... I'm sure if you look close that you'll notice a number of the faces from out Hall of Fame mixing it up. What you're seeing here is the card in pretty much its original format, complete with original type-o's! This piece of the federation's history is a gem that I doubt you could find anywhere else. So get your retro-vision goggles on, strap yourselves in and enjoy the ride!...

Martin Sanderson: Are you ready to rumble? Tonight here in Miami we are going to settle the long awaited question here in the E-WCW. Who will be the first World's Champion?! My partnet here tonight in this great fight is the one and only Randy Thomas!

Randy Thomas: It is great to be here tonight with all these great competitors and stuff! I love it! I mean what is not to love you got 30 of the world's greatest athletes in a ring, one coming down every two minutes! This is going to wild and crazy!

MS:Enough talk let's get this thing started! Take it Hank James.

HJ:It is now time for the Battle Rumble!!!!! Now let's see the man who picked number one! (Another one bites the dust blares over the arena)

MS: OH it's Coopdawg! He wasn't to lucky tonight.

RT: I know he isn't to happy about these turn of events.

HJ: Now lets see the man who picked number two! (Bang your head begins to play and the crowd is now getting excited, more and more each time!)

MS:Hammer is now coming down to the ring. These two both picked the wrong staw here Rand!

RT: I honestly don't think these two have any shot of winning this thing. This league is just too filled with great wresters to go for a long time and still win it.

DING DING DING DING

MS: And were off. Hammer charges quickly after Coopdawg. He is nailing dawg with those elbows of his and connecting. Hammer in charge early on!

RT: These two aren't going to go for any of their best moves because the purpose is to toss you opponents out of the ring, not to pin!

MS:You are right about that. Coop dawg is getting back to his feet, but is a little dazed right now. He is walking over to grasp the ropes and now Hammer is taking advantage by attempting to throw him out!

RT:Coopdawg has a good grasp on the appran and is not letting Hammer get him out without a fight. I would go for the eyes if I were Coop or anything else neccesary.

MS:It is getting down to the time when another competitor is going to join them.

(Crowd is counting 10....... 9..... 8..... 7.... 6... 5... 4....... 3..... 2.... 1... buzzer)

MS:It is Alistar Marvelous and he is coming down hard and ready. He is fired up with this one!

RT:He goes straight for Coopdawg and is helping out Hammer with him. That is great strategy and good team work. It won't last long though. Wait, I think they got Coopdawg but no is slithered under the bottom rope and is still alive.

MS:He is alive but I think he wishes he were gone as Marvelous is now stomping on his back with his foot. Now he is grabbing Coop's hair and tosses the big man across the ring. Ouch!!!

RT:Ouch is right, but Hammer is playing it smart and hanging in the corner of the ring, taking a breather as the other two duke it out.

MS:Coopdawg gets to his feet and punches Marvelous in the groin. What a cheap shot that was! And again, Wow. Marvelous is now the one in pain.

RT:Uncross your legs, Sanderson. You look like a girl and there is no girl's in E-WCW!! Hammer I think is rested and is going after Marvelous as well. Time for some else to come down

(buzzer)

MS:It's "Dr. Death" Richard Garcia!! He is getting to the ring also with a little speed. He now is in and is going after everyone. A drop kick to everybody sends them all to the mat. Coopdawg is the first to his feet and gets another drop kick by Garcia that sends him over the top!

HJ:Coopdawg has been eliminated!

MS:Well, I think that Coopdawg is not going to rest well tonight! Mean while back in the ring, Garcia and Alistar are at. Garcia has calmed down consideralby and is now taking his time with his energy. Hammer now joins the action after another short break!

RT:Hammer is playing it smart, taking his time! Wow did you see that slam by Marvelous on Garcia. Hammer dropping those elbows on "Dr. Death".

MS:Time for another!

(Buzzer)

RT:"The Proffesional" Max Morton walks slowly and calmly toward the ring. I think he wants people to notice him. I do and he is in great shape I might add.

MS:He is too! Hammer now on top of Marvelous and attempting to put him over. Morton enters and goes after Garcia, then Hammer. That let's Alistar free. Morton snap mares Garcia and body slams Hammer. Marvelous just finishes them off with stomps and elbow drops.

RT:Good jobb of hanging in there by Hammer. He might just win it! Hammer now charges after Morton who is getting up after a Marvelous slam and is near the ropes. He ducks the shoulder and Hammer is now out of the rumble. Big Mistake on his part!

HJ:Hammer has been eliminated

MS:Time for another!

(tail end of crowd counting.....3......2.....1...Buzzer)

RT:Whitelines is flying down to the ring! What is he on? He gets there in record time and just kills Garcia with a clothesline. He then delievers a back-breaker with power! Marvelous and Morton are in there too and going at it. In fact, Morton is hanging ovet the ropes with Marvelous the instigator!

MS:Morton is in trouble as now is also Garcia as Whitelines is attempting to throw him out! Garcia is able to get free and knees Whitelines in the chest area. He then slams Whitelines head into the matt with little or no effect whatsoever. Morton comes over after an unsuccessfull attempt at eliminating Alistar. Marvelous now football tackles Morton down and buries him with a flury of punches and head butts!

RT:Count down to the next guy begins!

RT:Bret Micheals come on down! It is now time to rumble for him.

MS:He hasn't been happy with the prez as of late but they patched their differences up. Micheals comes in and is going after Garcia and morton. Smart move as they are more his weight class. Whitelines and Marvelous are now brawling all over the ring and almost going over together. Marvelous standing drop kicks Whitelines who is high on something and feels no pain whatsoever in this early going here. He gets up and hits Morton in the back of his head with something out of his pants! It was tape or something like that as I could not get a good look at it. Max is now down for awhile I would assume!

RT:Never assume Sanderson, Morton has more than enough fight in him for this match! Don't count him out yet!

(3....2....1....buzzer)

MS:Someone is coming down to the ring, but I have know idea who it is! Wait! This is that mystery man because he is coming down with Sensei! The MUtilator is his name as we have just recieved word! He is going after Whitelines and I don't think Whitelines has any idea what to think!

RT:This mutilator is deranged and butt ugly! He is kicking the crap out of Whitelines and anybody else in his way. Morton is still out and Marvelous and Garcia are really going at it now. Bret Micheals is kicking both men and then drop kicks Garcia in the kisser. "DR. Death" slaps Marvelous on the way down and brings him too. Alistar I don't think liked that and is now punching Garcia in the head. He then get's Garcia up in a standing position and tosses Richard out of the ring by his hair and out and over is Garcia!

HJ:Richard Garcia has been eliminated!

TR:Mutilator is still on Whitelines and doing damage with punishing eye gouges and eye rakes. Morton is still out cold and is in the corner motionless. Micheals and Marvelous are now at it again. Alistar is kicking Micheals and Bret retalliates with one of his own!

MS:Another one. This is getting fun! It has been a blast!

RT:Tr Ela is now on his way to the ring. One of the best here and is second among wrestlers in ranking!

MS:That is right and he goes to ring in great shape. Morton is now coming to and is getting kicked in the head by Bret Micheals! Bret is relentless right now and is taking it to Morton. He could be out again!

RT:Multilator is doing pretty good first time in a match. Better than good actually. TR is now going after Whitelines as well. The effects of the unaturaly supplements seem to not be working so well on Whitelines now!

MS: TR and Alistar Marvelous are now going at and doing everything in their power to stay alive here at the Brawl. Micheals is having fun with Morton and is still beating him down to a pulp! Mutilator is now choking Whitelines senseless. I don't think that is legal.

RT:Who cares! This is a great match! Nothing beats no - holds-barred!

(4......3.....2.....1....buzzer)

MS:It's The Evadicator coming down! He is massive and in great physical shape. Micheals meets him first and is knocked down by a elbow to the scalp. Marvelous senses something and is now trying to throw Morton out! He got him! Wait Max holds on and is now going after Marvelous! Alistar and Morton are brawling and both go through the second rope! They are outside the ring!

RT:It doesn't stop! EVadicator now is pummeling TR Ela with punches to the back and a boot to the head. The same is still going on with the Mutilator and Whitelines. Whitelines I think is about to do a Max Morton! Bret Micheals is the smartest man in there! He is resting for future use.

MS:The fight outside is getting better! They are using chairs and such! I think that they have been eliminated for too much time outside the ring!

HJ:Both Alistar Marvelous and Max Morton have been eliminated!

(6.......5........4......3.......2......1......buzzer)

MS:Doc Hollywood is now in the ring! He just missed Marvelous by a little bit but now takes things into his own hands. He hits Mutilator with a drop kick in the back of the head and the choke hold on Whitelines is over. He then body slams Bret Micheals with ease and elbow drops him!

RT:I want in this thing now! TR is really being blasted by the Evadicator and is down on the ground hurt. TR is really in bad shape right now. Just look at Evadicator. He is a awesome force. Mutilator will just not let go of that choke. Whitelines got a short break, but Mutilator goes right back with it on! I don't like white's chances here! Micheals and Hollywood sure know how to rumble! Look at them go at it! EWWWW! An uppercut to Evadicator's jaw by TR.

MS:Mutilator is just unstoppable in the ring right now. Sensei is looking on really proud. Miss Heather is here with Hollywood too. She doesn't look as happy though!

RT:She's better to look at though! Sensei is old and ugly, perfect for Mutilator! ANother one. Man they won't stop coming!

MS:Warrior heading to the ring area and he is really in charge as he goes for everybody. That seems to be the theme for everybody today, take on all comers! Mutilator is an exception. TR is hurt but fighting Evadicator and is now trying hard to eliminate him! He has the big guy hanging but no can do! Micheals just did a neck breaker on Doc. Vicious!

RT:Now Doc is down and grabbing Micheals foot! Great take-down and has a figure-four on bret! That won't win you the match today Hollywood. TR breaks it with a stomp on Hollywood's chest!

MS:Evadicator now is going after Mutilator and hit him over the head! Whitelines is out and unconcious! Marvelous and Morton have just came out of the locker room and are in the stands fighting! They haven't even stopped yet. There in the cheap seats and kicking the crap out of each other!

RT:Wow! What an event today! The ring is better though as Mutilator is irrate and running around the ring hitting people! Evadicator is picking up whitelines I guess to help, Evadicator just help some one out! Warrior is charging Whitelines and Clotheslined Whitelines over the top. Good night Buddy!

HJ:Whitelines has been eliminated!

MS:"The Rock" Vlad Huzlrocks comes down to the ring and knocks over Whitelines on his way! He enters the ring and him and Warrior are going at it now. Punch and kick your way out of it is what Mutilator is thinking. Someone should throw him out! Bret Micheals and TR are in the right hand buckle trying to eliminate each other. Doc and Evadicator are together. Evadicator just press lifted Doc and out he goes!

HJ:Doc Hollywood has just been Eliminated

RT:Great matchup between WArrior and The Rock! They are all over each other and so on! Bret Micheals is being destroyed by TR and it looks as if Bret won't last much longer! Tr throws Micheals across the ring by his ears and then chases after him with a leg drop! It is good!

MS:The Rock just kneed Warrior in the balls! Pick up an d slam by rock on Warrior. He follows up with an elbos drop. Micheals gets up and sees Evadicator and Mutilator choking each other with no effect on either I suppose!

RT:Hasegawa "Prometheus" Okiyo-E is now coming down and joins Mutilator and The Rock as they pound away on Warrior and then they throw him out of the ring!

HJ:Warrior has been eliminated!

MS:Warrior showed great promise. TR Ela is now with Evadicator once again and Bret Micheals double-clotheslines them in the back of the head! TR turns around and grabs Micheals neck with both hands and picks him up, walks to the ropes and dumps Bret out! The Garbage man, TR ELA!

HJ:Bret Micheals has been eliminated!

RT:The connection is causing terror with Evadicator and TR Ela. 3 on 2 and The connection is winning just because they have more! Tr is being beat by The Rock and Mutilator and Hasegawa are going after Evadicator and winning! That doesn't happen much!

(...6...5...4...3...2...1...buzzer)

MS:Quazimoto now to the ring and going after the Rock who had his back turned and got blasted by a forearm to the back. Bodyslam on Vlad by Quazimoto. A grab of the hair by Moto and the Rock goes head first into the buckle! Tr helps Moto try to get the Rock out! The Mutilator sees this and charges for it. TR and Quazimoto move out of the way and Mutilator hits the Rock and vlad goes over!

HJ:Vlad Huzlrocks has been eliminated!

RT:Evadicator is now in good with Hasegawa and is beating the Prometheus to the ground with sledge hammer blows! Quazimoto hits Mutilator in the face with a boot and then gives Mutilator a bull dog head lock! I like the sound of that there. evadicator is looking strong as he powerslams down Prometheus and gives him a head butt!

(..4...3...2...1...buzzer)

MS:Oh no! Just what they need, MORE HELP! It is Katsuhiko "Too Tall" Suzuki coming in the ring now and he is after Evadicator! Talk about clash of the Titans! Evadicator and Too Tall are trading Huge blows back and forth, but Mutilator and Hasegawa come in and nail evadicator in the back and front! They are punishing Evadicator. TR Ela and Quazimoto are in the buckle and Tr just elbow smashed Quazi in the head! Tr now scoop slams moto and leg drops him in the neck area. The connection is still beating up Evadicator and there is little he can do but absorb it!

RT:That is right Evadicator is helpless and I don't think Quazimoto and TR Ela are going to be of much help! Quazimoto is raking the eyes of TR and scratching the back as well. Big boot coming up by Quazimoto and it sends Tr down. Quazi now trys to fight Mutilator and he hits him with a standing drop kick in the much of Mutilator. A great match up there as Evadicator gets to his feet and pushes of Too Tall and Hasegawa and then whips Hasegawa into Too tall that has no effect on too tall but knocks "Prometheus" to the matt for awhile!

MS:Chogall the new guy comes down the aisle and into the ring and buries Mutilator with a fist in face! He then press slams Mutilator over the top rope! That was unexpected, really!

HJ:Mutilator has been eliminated!

MS:Chogall on fire here as he hits "Prometheus" with an elbow to the head and then sweeps the legs out from under himself. Evadicator is grappling with Too Tall and Tr and Quazimoto are tangled in the ropes trying to get each other out! Too Tall Body slams Evadicator to the ground and steps on his throat, making Evadicator bleed from the mouth!

RT:Blood! Too Tall is too big for Evadicator and just planted him with a leg drop and an elbow drop. Quazi is on the top rope, but slips and his legs split around the turnbuckle. He fell into the ring though but is in pain. TR gets to his feet and irish whips him into the ropes. Sensei sensing a danger in Quazimoto pulls down the top rope and Quazi goes over! The refs never saw it!

HJ:Quazimoto has been eliminated!

(3...2...1...buzzer)

MS:Scott "The Hunter" Kingston comes in now and punches Hasegawa down to the canvas and another one as Prometheus gets up! Hunter scoop slams Prometheus down on the matt and attacks Too Tall and clotheslines him once and again, and again. The big tree falls to the ground and now Tr is Hunter's next target! He wants Morton but TR will do! Scott and Chogall get in to it to as I was wrong there! TR is fighting Prometheus and TR body slams him to the canvas with good measure!

RT: I am really getting rived up now! Wow look at the boot Too Tall is putting in Evadicator's face. He can kill alot more than insects with that one! Action is getting hot here in Miami! Scott Kingston is now brawling with Chogall and they have each other in wierd positions! Tr just sent Prometheus into the buckle with force! Prometheus grabs his back in pain!

MS:Sabreclaw. He enters and goes for Kingston and Chogall together. He grabs Kingston's hair back and drags him to the ground and then stomps on him! Chogall smashes Sabreclaw in the back with a doubl ax-handle and it hurt Sabreclaw but not enough! Tr is now powerslamming Prometheus to the canvas and delievers a good arm drag takedown to Chogall passing by. Evadicator breaks free of Too Tall's hold and delievers an uppercut to the throat. Then another and then a body slam! Camel Clutch on Too Tall by Evadiactor now! Kingston an Sabreclaw are really brawling now as both men are using illegal tackics.

RT:You almost have to in this kind of a macth Sanderson! TR came down with a knee to the gut of Prometheus and Chogall helps out with a kick to Prometheuses head! Sabreclaw is now press slamming Kingston to the ground and fist drops his scott's head.

(...4...3..2..1...buzzer)

MS:Newcomer BDS to the ring now! He comes in and joins Kingston against Sabreclaw. They do battle for awile while Kingston rests! TR and Prometheus are taking it too Chogall as they have now teamed up. Evadicator and Too Tall now have been at it for quite a while and still haven't stopped. The Camel Clutch is still on and Evadicator is enven applying more pressure than before! Big belly to belly suplex by BDS on Sabreclaw. Kingston still rests quietly in the corner, no problems for him! Tr and Chogall now team up on HAsegawa and give him a double clothesline to Prometheus.

RT:This Evadicator and Too Tall match is really good! I Just can't stay away from that side of the ring! Chogall is now getting envolved in that and now Kingston is thinking about it to! The Hunter comes over and drop kicks Too Tall and Evadicator grabs Chogall and slams him to the canvas! Tr and Prometheus just double clotheslined each other in the middle of the ring and are motionless!

(..4...3...2..1..buzzer)

MS:Gai - Jin is now on his way! Too Tall sees this and they double team Chogall and send him over the top!

HJ:Chogall has been eliminated!

MS:Gai - Jin and Katsuhiko are now a team I think in this one as Too Tall holds Kingston and Jin delievers a chop to the chest! Whirlwind kick to Sabreclaw by Jin and Too Tall Choke Slams TR who has been in the longest! Prometheus is relieved that his stable is there and BDS shoulder blocks Sabreclaw in the back to knock him down. Evadicator grabs Too Tall and DDT"s him hard and good! gai - Jin now body slams TR and goes to the top rope and comes down with a double ax handle on Sabreclaw!

RT:Kingston is now on Prometheus and is going sycho with kicks to hase in the chest area! A headbutt by Kingston is now applied to HAse and that is all she wrote! As far as that is concerned!

MS:Steve Vucco comes down to the ring! He comes in and stands by the ropes! Too Tall sees this and boots Vucco over the top!

HJ:Steve Vucco has been eliminated!

RT:Too Tall stands there and gets clotheslined over by Evadicator!

HJ:Katsuhiko "TOO Tall" Suzuki has been eliminated!

RT: Gai - Jin can not believe it! Kingston grabs him and throws out the surprised man! What a Rumble!

HJ:Gai -Jin has been eliminated!

MS:Prometheus is dazed from a beating by TR Ela and Kingston is High Fiving with the Evadicator but Sabreclaw spoils the fun with a double nog to nogger! BDS is resting in the corner and laughing at Prometheus and the Connection which has almost been all thrown out!

(3....2....1...buzzer)

MS:Johnny Famous comes down and attacks TR Ela and company! Kingston and Sabreclaw are locked up in the ropes and Evadicator is bashing BDS laughing brains in with a temple crusher! Scott the Hunter Kingston is now body slamming Sabreclaw and gives Famous one too. Evadicator grabs Tr and tosses him over but not out! Evadicator then goes on to Prometheus and gives him a neck hanger!

RT:Johnny Famous is working on Kingston now with head butts and punches! Kingston comes back with a short-arm clothesline! Sabreclaw choke slams Evadicator from behind and Prometheus clotheslines TR ELa and BDS at the same time!

MS:Hurricane Richards enjoys a stroll down to the Rumble! Famous drop kicks TR in the mush and Evadicator press slams Prometheus on the top turnbuckle, knocking Hase silly. Kingston frankienstiens Sabreclawa and BDS gets up from a clothesline earlier! TR delievers a back-breaker to Famous and Drop kicks Prometheus back to Evadicator. Sabreclaw gives Kingston a suplex and Richards clotheslines BDS into the turnbuckle pad and then tosses him across the ring!

RT:Great Action with Sabreclaw and Kingston. Evadicator gets Prometheus up in a powerbomb!

MS:Viper makes his way to the ring! He comes in ready to fight with the best of them here today! Hurricane meets him and Viper ducks and sends Richards out with a shoulder nudge!

HJ:HUrrican Richards has been eliminated!

MS:Evadicator now throws Prometheus out of the ring!

HJ:Hasegawa "Prometheus" Okiyo-E has been eliminated!

RT:TR is still staying in there and is looking strong. He and Kingston appear to be at it as Viper comes over to BDS and they get into a little scuffle!

(10..9..8..7..6..5..4...3..2..1..buzzer)

MS:IT is Mvp who goes after everybody as well! Tr meets Sabreclaw in the corner and they duke it out with a lot of might! Evadicator body slams Viper to the mat and then stomps on his body with all his weight! Tr Slams Sabreclaws head into the buckle and does it nine more times. BDS gives Kingston a belly to belly suplex and Mvp clotheslines Evadicator in the side of his head and attempts to throw him out of the ring!

RT:Getting down to the nitty gritty now as we await number 27 to come on down!

MS:It is Yoshi-Dono Sekigaha and he is the last of the connection and there final hope! He goes after evadicator as expected. He is mad and ready to fight! Everybody is waiting for some others to come!

RT:Kingston and Tr are making history as they continue to pound on each other right now. Tr slams him down and then they double drop kick BDS out of the ring!

MS:Tristen Olsen just got thrown out by Evadicator!

HJ:High Flying Tristen Olsen has been eliminated!

RT:mVp is now out of the Rumble because a boot from evadicator!

HJ:mVp has been eliminated!

MS:Dan "The Man" Watterson got rid of TR ELa because TR ELA went to the top and Watterson drop kicked him of!

HJ:TR ELA has been eliminated!

RT:Evadicator has been thrown out by Scott Kingson via a shoulder dip when Evadicator had him in the ropes!

HJ:The Evadicator has been eliminated!

MS:THe Lunatic eliminated Scott "THe Hunter" Kingston after the elimination of Evadicator when The HUnter wasn't looking!

HJ:Scott "The Hunter" Kingston has been eliminated!

RT:Johhny Famous was ousted by the Lunatic and his clothesline!

HJ:Johhny Famous has been eliminated!

MS:Yoshi-Dono takes out Dan "The Man" WAtterson by a back body drop!

HJ:Dan "The Man" Watterson has been eliminated!

RT:Yoshi-Dono and the Lunatic are left and Russ gets Yoshi-Don in a head lock. WInters is then irish whipped into the buckle and falls down to the ground! Yoshi-Dono picks up Russ and tosses him out with ease! WAit The Lunatic hung on and runs toward Yoshi-Dono on the top rope celebrating! Drop kick and the Lunatic is the first ever E-WCW Champion!!!

HJ:Yoshi-Dono Sekigaha has been eliminated!

HJ:Here is your winneer and New E-WCW World's Champion..."The Lunatic" Russ Winters"
