Is your Computer Driving You Crazy?
Hi, i've been driven nuts by computer errors. I just wrote how I solved those. Hope it might help,
Has your computer been working slowly?
Check how much memory and disk volume your computer has first.<You can check them by Right-clicking my computer for memory info and Right-Clicking Drive C for volume info.> If you get a reasonable volume, you need to consider a second option.

Is your computer infected by virus?
Install an Anti-Virus program < Norton antivirus you got when you bought your computer expires within 6 months; yeah, so it doesn't work> Make sure the virus database is updated. <Once again, Norton stops updating probably long time ago.> I'd recommend using
Avast anti-virus, which is free for home use, updates virus database very often  and very reliable. After installing, run the anti-virus; if necessary, run Boot-scan. If there's any virus, see which kind of file's infected and delete them as necessary.

Are spywares causing your computer to slow down?
If you don't know what a spyare is, a spyware is a data-tracking system used by websites/ advertising agencies. Data-tracking files are stored in your computer; after storing a quite significant amount of files, your computer's slowed down. In fact, virus/trojans can get inside comp by spyware. Use a spyware remover software to remove spyware. I'd recommend
Ad-aware Spyware Scanner.   Run the spyware scanner and delete all those spywares.

Is your computer warning you that "your computer has been infected by a spyware; click here to buy a spyware scanner"?
That's not from windows security. A lot of people were fooled by that. It keeps popping up everytime you turn on your computer right? There's no decent website to explain what causes that or how to fix that.

Reasons- a trojan got inside your computer and it lists itself in messenger (MSN messenger, to be true) and uses messenger to send you advertising messages.

Fix- first, find the program illegally installed in your computer. Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, and see if there's any advertising program you aren't aware of. Uninstall them. Second thing, you can run spyware and anti-virus programs (get them free in my links). Also view
Adaware's Help to the Problem; it does help in my case.If it still doesn't stop messages, simply shuts down MSN messenger program. Delete MSN messenger files in your "Programs". Though you uninstall the messenger, the files are still in your programs. That's why messenger's so vulnerable to trojans (thanks to Microsoft's messenger).
