You probably thought I'd dropped off the face of the earth for awhile there! Yes, it's been almost 4 weeks since the last time. We have several new members in the list - Welcome! Since the last issue, I've been busy. I have participated in a live model horse show, a photo show, two pow wows, and an international festival. I do think things will quiet down for a while after the regular newsletter is mailed out this next week. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Spring Fever Live Website update ~~ We now have some photos from the Auction posted to the website. You can click on the Auction "button" at http://members.tdn.com/nwbhc/sfl to see them. If you were at Spring Fever and took any pictures that you would like to share with us, please send them to me at [email protected] and I will put them on the website. I know we had lots of cameras going why we were there. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ May Days Photo Show We had four entrants in the photo show and loads of pictures. Several of our classes were very full, so we decided to revamp some of the class structure for next year's show. Mary Ann did up all our nice certificates and helped us save postage by handing them back to the entrants along with their photos and return envelopes (for re-use) at North West Congress. Thank yous to Melissa for stopping on her way by to take them with her. And thank you to everyone who entered. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ New foal Pictures We have some new baby photos on the website. One of our club member's live horses foaled this spring, just a few weeks ago. We've had the pictures, but just didn't have them on the website until now. You can check out the new baby at http://members.tdn.com/nwbhc/icebear/foal.htm ~ we also plan to add one more photo and any others that come our way, so you may wish to check back again later. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Puyallup Breyer Roundup It's coming up fast! Only a couple months ~ are you ready??? Are you Registered?!? We have lots of exciting things happening at PBR 2001. For anyone who purchases a lunch ticket WITH a Tour Stop model, you will receive a ticket for the Raffle Model (one of only 10 nationwide) to be drawn after lunch. Stephanie Majeko will be our guest speaker from Just About Horses, and she will be available to sign your models. I will let you know when I have pictures of both the Raffle and Tour Model on the website. Bob's Merchandise has one of each on display at their Longview store. If you are interested in coming for the lunch, getting your tour horse, and a chance to win the raffle, you may call Bob's at 360-425-3870 or write to them at 1111 Hudson, Longview, WA 98632. The cost of the Lunch with model should be about $45. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ New Construction Mary Ann is getting a new horse room! She's trying not to get too excited, but it sure is hard. I'm so excited for her. Since they moved into the small house, she has had to keep her collection and sale stock all packed up in the other house until a new room could be built. Walls were going up last week, and the rafters came from Canada and they should be up by now. A lot has been accomplished in just a couple weeks. Hopefully she will soon be able to unpack her collection and set them all out on new shelves in this new room. Congratulations Mary Ann! We'll all look forward to seeing your new room soon. She has been taking pictures of the progress, so hopefully she will be sharing them with me soon so I can get them on the website. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Weathercast Summer weather has finally come to the Northwest and we're seeing temperatures reaching 80-90 degrees in Kelso almost every day. If it's that hot here, probably hotter in Riverside.
