Yes, I know it's been awhile since I sent this to you. A few things have happened since the last issue, so I'll send them along. Spring Fever Live http://members.tdn.com/nwbhc/sfl Spring Fever Live in St. Helens, OR is now history. It was loads of fun to visit with everyone who attended. The auction and PJ party on friday night was a blast! There were over 30 people there, and only around 5-6 not in pj's. The Early deadline is coming up fast. Remember that PBR is an official Breyer Tour Stop. There will be a Raffle model, as well as the Tour model, available from our sponsor, Bob's Merchandise of Longview. The Show committe for PBR is looking for raffle items, and that any Club members donating will be entered into a drawing for something really nice. If you are not yet a member of NWBHC, you are free to join us at PBR. For those of you who can and plan to come, it will be a fun day. The spring show horse will be available and previews of the Tour model and raffle are on hand for you to view. Boy are the pretty this year! Jan will have a portion of her collection on display. Since quantities are limited to those on the waiting list, I recommend that if you want to buy one from MM, you should get your name on her list soon. The Cart sets have also arrived, and quantities are also limited to those who are on the waiting list. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Weathercast Last week was a warm one here in the Northwest! Record temperatures in several places over a 3-day period. Was nice to see it cool down a bit though. By Saturday we got wind and rain. Cold and Windy in the Riverside area today. MAJ says she has a cold west wind coming off the mountains near her -- temperature of 57 degrees, doesn't feel that warm. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Website News http://members.tdn.com/nwbhc While there have been few changes since our little fiasco in March, there are several new pages in the works to be placed on the website soon. The zip drive that we are using for maintaining the website has experienced a major disaster -- it has "crashed." All of our website is prepared and stored on a zip disk until it is ready for transfer to the site. Fortunately, all our zip disks are operable and may be used in other zip drives, so any data lost will be directly due to the errors experienced by the drive itself. However, until a replacement drive can be obtained, only minor updates will be made to the website. The drive is no longer under warranty, but there is another issue that has risen surrounding the product and hopefully we will be able to get a new one soon. I hope this doesn't imply that we will not be able to maintain our varied site ~ we will still do everything we can to keep it looking great for all our visitors. And a "thank you" comes from our webmaster for the compliments we receive regarding our "easy-to-use" and "user-friendly" website.
