| I met Ron Mercer just after I had gotten into BMXing at the cement park in New Westminster BC, just outside of Vancouver. I had gotten to know this little kid named Leif and he said that Ron Mercer was awesome, now at this time I had no idea who Ron was. The next day I was riding and this older guy on a S&M Berringer shows up and starts rippin the place up! Tailwhip nosepicks, framestand manuels, tailwhips, amazing! He was only there for a few minutes but he was a great example for all the rest of us: be patiant and tricks will come. He rode the whole time without swearing at all, because there were a bunch of little kids there. Maybe someday I'll get to ride with him again... Nate |
