Went to the park for a litte while tonight, pulled some nice X-ups for the first time, I know, I know, beginner tricks. Whatever, it's fun. Well, I'm super stoked on my camera... 6.03.02 -After some practice tries to get the tecnique down, my rim is finally lace. Machined wall Alex MX22 (super strong, yet strangely light...) to the 1664 Swinger Hub. Very nice...I think I'll hit the park tonight. 6.01.02 -Well, the 1664 hub came in yesterday so I'm training myself how to lace my wheel. It's not too bad, with some minor exceptions. I'm re-lacing it to the MX22 rim which seems to be holding up fine. It sucks because today was super nice and my wheel was out of commission. - New thoughts on digital camera shopping: Sony P30 with a fisheye lens. 5.28.02 Thanks for signing the guestbook. Nice night at the park tonight, worked on a nollie to tailtap on a bank, did some alley-oop X-up tailtaps on it also. Rode with a couple skaters tonight, nice guys. Still shopping for a digital cam, and my 1664 rear hub is on the way. It's gonna give me the option of running LSD if I want to. Nice. Then comes the fun part, lacing the wheel... 5.25.02 -I'm getting more and more hits everyday and was just wonderng if you could sign my guestbook and tell me where you got the link from, that would be awesome... -Mellow session toinight with wayne. just rode the park for about 30 minutes and then cruised around looking for some street, didn't find any really. Except for one wallride and a possible fufanu. - 5.23.02 Mellow session tonight, Just riding by myself. Learned some pathetic little nollie-to-tailtap to fakie on this bank. Bit it after my front tire washed out on a footplant out of the bank. Did some pedal and spocket grinds. I'm planning on muting a digital camera soon. A sony MVC FD100. That'll be nice.. Updates to Nate's bike check . 5. 19.02 Some new pictures of Wayne and Nate doing some tricks. Hopefully more in a little while. Rumor has it that Chase BMX mag might be planning a trip to the Northwest late summer... 5.16.02 -Another relaxed session tonight. Lots of little punk kids sliding on the park like a playground, boy that irks me. -Started to learn can cans tonight. Stop laughing, I just never thought of trying them before tonight... 5.15.02 Nice relaxed session tonight, rode with Wayne on his freestyle MTB. That dude is nuts. Nothings, barspins, no footed cancan attempts, suicide no handers. He is seriously going off the charts with his riding. -Learned some front footed pedal grinds after watching a kid named Dane (I think) pull one by accident. Got some pics. -repetedly nutted myself working on doing no footers with nore air stupid testes. -new pictures up by the weekend hopefully 5.13.02 -It's 12:23 am and I have school tomorrow, so this'll be quick. -Had a couple great nights during the past couple weeks, learned sprocket grinds, feeble grinds to toothpick bonks, footjam nosepicks on a bank, fastplants, how to properly ride a hip... -There should be a bunch of new pictures up in aobut a week... -Rode with Wade and Glen at the park the othr day on their unicycles. Insane is all I can say. Glen riding one footed, wade hopping up steps and skipping every second...man, craziness. -pics soon. -sleep time. 5.08.02 Havn't had a chance to ride much lately. The ankle's alomst back to normal. I bought a brace to wear while riding now. Hopelully that works. -I should have some new pictures and stuff by the weekend 5.05.02 Went to Terrace over the weekend and had a chance to ride the park there. They have a nice mini pipe and a lot of nice banks to jump. Pictures up later... 5.02.02 Well, the ankle is sore yet, purple has engulfed it. I might pick up a Hyper bike from Canadian Tire to use as spare parts. It comes with some decent hubs/rims, and all the brakes and everything for about 130$. Not bad of a deal, I'll think about it... |
