1. Carsets and Skill Settings- The carset you use for each race as well as the skill settings for your own car is up to you. You can use any carset you want, as long as you have 43 cars in it to fill the field when it's at 43. 2. AI%- The AI% you choose is imitated to a minimum of 94%. 94% should be low enough for you to win your race. If 94% is too high for you, please e-mail me and I may let you lower if at the penalty of one finishing position. 3. Settings- Check the settings page before each event! All events will have cautions on with double file restarts. The number of cars in each race will be posted, 43 will be used if possible. If in doubt go for the most cars possible. There will be no penalty for too many cars, but there may be for too few. Also, any editing of the track text, other than the "CARS" line (which determines the maximum number of cars that can be run at that track) is strictly prohibited and is considered cheating. 4. Racing- Make sure in the control options menu you select "time" not "speed." If not set to time, you WILL NOT be eligible for the Bud Pole Award. You are allowed to save your race at anytime if it is too time consuming, but it is suggested that you race it all at once. Also, any editing of the race save file is cheating, and if caught you will be suspended from competition for two races. You must download and use the configuration file in the files section. At the conclusion of the race (make sure you see the Papyrus newspaper clipping then you know the race is over), go to results page and click save. Name the results as your 1st and last initial, then the number race it was in the season. My results for Daytona would be NW1. You have 1 week to run each race. That 1 week time frame starts on the day after the results for the previous race are due and ends on the date the race you are running is scheduled for. 5. Sending In Results- Send your .stn (found in the "Exports" folder in your N3 folder) to [email protected]. The subject line on the e-mail must read 'N3 Offline Race Results' or else it might not be found or counted and you will not receive any points. You may send in your results as early as 1 day after the previous race's results were due. Race results must be sent in by 11:59pm of the race's date. Late results will receive a penalty of one finishing position. 6. Scoring- Scoring is based on the following formula: (Laps Led + Laps Run + Points Given + AI% Level) Divided by 4. The highest number will be the winner. Example: Lets say I won at Daytona and led 30 of the 40 laps, and the AI was at 97%. Now I would receive 175 points, plus 10 bonus points for leading the most laps (5 for leading at least one lap). Now it would go like this: (30+40+185+97)/4=88. Whoever has the highest number will win, then it will go from there(next 87, 85, 84 ect.). If there is a tie, the tie breaker will be 1.) AI level, and then if still tied, 2.) Qualifying time. 7. Points- The points system will be just like NASCAR. 1st place- 175, 2nd-170, 3rd-165, and so on. There will be bonus points, 10 for whoever led the most laps, and 5 for leading a lap. If two people both lead the most laps they will both receive 10 points. 8. Cheating- Anyone caught cheating will be disqualified from that race and the next race and is put on probation for the rest of the season. After the 2nd offense the driver will be suspended for the rest of the season. If a mistake is made by a driver and it is not believed to be intentional, that driver will be warned and told how to correct the mistake. If it does not affect that drivers race speed their results will be allowed, however if it gives that driver an unfair advantage, they will be finish in last place. 9. Questions- If you have any type of question about running your race or if you believe there is an error in scoring email [email protected] immediately. Also send your results here. Good Luck and have fun!
