Who's Going #1?
It will be an interesting time as the draft approches to see who will emerge as the #1 prospect in this years draft. Most experts have it narrowed down to Canadian, Jason Spezza, and Russian Ilya Kovalchuk the potential draftees to take the #1 spot, but who goes where will all depend on who gets the #1 pick in this years draft and what that team needs. So far, the New York Rangers have that pick locked up.
Ilya Kovalchuk
In Kovakchuk, team will get a true sniper who can put the puck in the net with accume! He is touted as the next Paval Bure out of Russian as is so far living up to expectation as he will be playing in this years World Championships as an 18 year old! He is now focusingon a World JUnior stint, trying to take home gold for Russia. Jason Spezza is more of a playmaker, but can still score is the need arises and will be taken #1 if the team who owns that pick needs a set up man more than a goal scorer. He to is gerring up for a World Jr. Run with Team Canada. Either of these picks are can't miss players and who ever has the #2 pick in this years draft, wont be far behind whom ever has #1!
