BRIEFING GUIDE - SYMPOSIUM ON PLATE TECTONICS

Choose one person from your group to play the part of the leading scientist (he/she should be a different person than the one you chose for the continental drift symposium).  Your group will have the job of presenting a talk explaining the research the scientific team has performed.

OVERVIEW

The instructions below will help you to prepare your project.

·        Choose one person from your group to play the part of the scientist. This person will have the job of presenting a talk (7-10 minutes) explaining what research the group has done. The others will play roles as research assistants, friends or relatives.

·        Read the information that is attached.  Look at geology and earth science books your teacher provides, and read the web pages that are attached to your simulation guide to find out more about your topic.

·        Complete labs or simulations that are attached to this packet.

·        Prepare a presentation about the following:
