Dear Parent/Guardian:

We're excited to have your child in eighth grade science.  We have planned an exciting year of engaging and challenging science experiences.  Our experiments, simulations, homework, and assessments are designed around the rigorous science curriculum standards adopted by the Carson City School District.

The attached document, "Course Expectations," provides you and your child with an preview of the class and our behavioral guidelines.  Adherence to these guidelines is essential for a student to have a safe and rewarding year of science.

Please review these expectations with your son or daughter, sign the acknowledgment below, tear it off, and return it with your child.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call either of us at the number above or email us at the addresses listed below.
