Alexander I

Alexander I - the Emperor of Russia from 1801 - riding Eklips - the horse presented by Napoleon in Erfurt in 1808. In 1814 Alexander I entered Paris riding Eklips.
The engraving is made by V.N. Nuzhdin from the Emperor's portrait painted by Kruger in 1837 for the Military gallery of 1812 in the Winter Palace.
