To all our non UK viewers we welcome you to join this great new service. However, you will be paid based on the exchange rate between local currency and Sterling on the date of payment. You will only earn when we have advertising specific for your country. You will be responsible for local taxation and other laws. This will not stop you enjoying the many benefits of the Adticker™!, your personal desktop utility.

Opening Period

For the start up period we will be restricting the payments to £25 per person per month, plus any referral payments, which could be quite large if you get all your friends to sign up. We will be increasing the amount in stages as the Getpounds community grows.

1. What do I get paid?

Members get paid the equivalent of £1 per hour. You will be paid by the number of ads viewed and not by the time spent. On an average, in 1 hour you will view 120 ads. However, for the start up period we will be restricting the payments to £25 per person per month, plus any referral payments.

2. What if I am only viewing for a short time?

If you are on for a short time, that is not a problem, because even if you view only a few ads, the ads viewed will be added to your monthly total.

3. Can I change the way I am paid once I have registered?

Yes, you can change the way you are paid once you have registered. All you need to do is send an email with you Login ID code to [email protected] plus change your details on the Login page. However, the process will take 2 months to take effect.

4. What is my referral ID?

Your login ID code is the referral ID. If your login ID is "david", your referral would look like

You will be able to check on the number of referrals, from the login screen

6. When Can I download the Adticker?

If you have not been given a pre-allocated download slot, you will be able to download the Adticker"! anytime from Mid July 2000. You will find a link to download the Adticker"! once you have logged in.

7. Do I have to surf the Net to get paid?

No, that is the beauty for the Adticker! It just sits on your desktop (screen) and scroll ad's regardless of what else you are doing on the computer at the time. You can write letters, do accounts, play games or surf the net. However, if you click on an ad because you want to find out more info about the product, then your browser will pop up and connect to the desired website. You do not have to surf the web, but you must have live internet connection.

8. Can I change the type of ad's viewed?

Yes, all you need to do to Login and update your preferences.

9. Is Getpounds an Internet Service Provider (ISP)?

No, you needed to be signed up to an ISP of your choice and use that connection to the internet to receive our service.

10. Do you pay in different currencies?

No, as the name implies we pay in £'s sterling. You can set up a £ sterling bank account with your local bank and pay the cheques/BACS into that account. The main advantage of this system is that you can choose when to change the £'s into you local currency i.e. when the exchange rate is good for you!

11. Can I use the Adticker on my Mac?

We are upgrading the Adticker at the moment. When this is complete then we will develop the Mac version. Please watch the site for the latest news. This will be at least 2 months.

12. I am having problems with the registration form

If you receive a message like the one below

This means that the question (highlighted in red above) on the registration form is not filled in correctly, if at all. You need to press the 'Back' button on your browser and check the question concerned.
