NYNGA Spring Board meeting,  Don and Ann Cobb hosting,  5 March 2005

Colleen Green explains that the IRS forms are specific in eliminating undue remuneration to anyone in a not-for-profit corporation.  Colleen Green moves, Jerry Henkin seconds, that NYNGA insert a statement in its by-laws to prohibit payment that is excessive… Any member reimbursement is to be less than or equal to going market rate.  Carried, so the spring 2005 meeting is to vote thereon.

 

Jerry Henkin reports on the progress of the spring meeting.  Speaker Frank Munster added to give slides and talk on TNYACF, The NY chapter of the American Chestnut Foundation.

 

Hardy English Walnut Project publishing is given the go ahead to publish that Jerry Henkin is to answer questions on the spring meeting…Francis Woodward is to answer questions on the Hardy English Walnut Project…Colleen Green is to receive all checks directly, made to NYNGA.

 

Ken Mudge reports readiness to start a scientific study on the Hardy English Walnut Project.  Cold storage and greenhouse facilities are available.  $400 should fund an initial budget.  John Wertis, Jerry Henkin make motion.  Carried

 

Don Cobb, Colleen Green moved that the NYNGA editor be made a board member.  Carried.  Welcome Tom Potts.

 

Jerry Henkin reports on future meetings.  July 16, 2005  likely at Oxford, NY for tour and meal…the other half of the meeting at some Meeting Room.  Fall Meeting at Tom Potts’.

 

At noon we retire to  great dinner provided by the Cobb’s.
