Why Riding The Bus in the Morning Sucks

So yeah. You get up, you force yourself out of bed.The onyl bright part is the shower. Breakfast is a blur to you, you just shove it down trying to get your mind to remember if you have everything. You pull yourself out the door, barely concious and trudge down the street to the bus stop. Your hand fishes in your pocket for your money, and you hope the bus driver doesn't notice that you're short by at least 10 cents. If you're lucky you get a seat, but then downtown someone who doesn't fit into a one person spot sits right next to you and doesn't understand the chokes "Excuse me, can you move a bit?". But, as usual, you don't get a seat and have to stand the whole forty-five minutes, your bag heavy on your shoulder and your arm at least a foot to short to grab any bar to keep the motion of the bus from throwing you forward. Finally you get off at your stop, feeling dirty, more tired , and in an even worse mood then when you woke up. And the day has hardly even begun.
Captain Picard or Captain Kirk?

It has been plaguing Star Trek fans for a very long time. But from this point of view, Picard emerges hands down as the winner. Why do you ask?

1) His voice is less annoying
2. He, doesn't speak, in awkward, breaks.
3) He's a bald captain with a shadey past.

Bad Day, Good Friend
I threw my heavy back pack on the ground and repalmed my keys. The house was quiet, as usual when I came home. I had just had the hardest day of my life. AS if a test in every period wasn't hard enough, my friends had basically loaded me down with what seemed to be, every problem they could think about.. I closed the door behind me and kicked off my shoes. The soft carpet felt so much better than hard lanolium floors.

I let out a long sigh and pulled myself to my room. No one else would be home until 8 at least. I fell down on my bed, burying my head in a soft, blue pillow. Ot was warm in my room, althought quiet dark. I just lay there, thinking about everything, and nothing. My door creaked open, and as always, I tensed up. A weight jumped onto my bed, moving closer to the pillow. Something wet thouched the back of my hand and nudged it up until it met soft fur. Then it pushed under my arm and lay down, licking my cheek. I scratched behind his ears, and he nuzzled his head next to mine, the soft brush of fur a comfort after such a hard day.

For the first time, I felt the stress and worry fade away. The thump of his tail as it hit the soft comforter lulled me into a peaceful sleep. He had always known just when I needed a friend.
Romance, Tears and Love
A Review of Mars Volumn One

Meet Rei Kashino and Kira Aso, two high school students with their own share of problems. Rei is the charismatic 'bad boy', who is into racing. While on the outside he seems to have a bad boy image, he is almost like a little boy when he is happy, and down right endearing when he is concerned. Kira is a soft spoken, keep to herself artist, who everyone thinks is a freak. When the two become involved and Rei acts unexectedly towards Kira, romance starts to sprout.
In this manga Fuyumi Soryo demonstrates that actions and unrealistic occurances are not always needed to capture a readers attention. With brilliant art and a captivating story line, Mars is well worth the time and money.

You can pick up your own copies of Mars, a 15 volume series at Readers Bookshop or Tokyo 7.

The Perfect Safeway Lunch
Don't have time to make your own lunch? Have 5$ in your pocket? Well then problem solved! During your lunch hour, walk to your local grocery store (Safeway works best for this) Go to the Deli and get 50g of your favorite lunch meat, then go and get two buns from the bakery. A canned drink would be preferable, but if you don't have a can machine avalible a flavored water does the trick. Top it all off with a chocolate bar or an apple and then pay. One lunch, ready to eat, cheap and fast.
