clouds come rolling across

the clear blue sky

darkening it as if the nights

hands are reaching out

like the waves on the shore

to claim the light

to bring us closer

 

closer came the starless night

no moon waxing above

no light from the sky

until the lightening strikes

outlining the shapes made in the sky

by the broiling clouds

thunder rumbling and exploding

drowning all other sounds

the clouds get heavy and the rains starts

to fall like it’s running

 

running away form the darkness of the clouds

darkness that clouds my vision

of what I want and what I need

these storms stir the stillness

of my wishes for my life

stir the dreams of what I am

what I will be

a face in my blurred vision

dark hair and bright eyes

 

eyes that remind me of a bright night

with a sky full of stars

but tonight it’s only a vision

no stars in this nights sky

only dark clouds heavy with rain again

dark clouds with the illuminating lightening

and the thunder that drowns all
