Events are unfolding quickly, prompting another update so soon after the last.

1. The Arizona Republic story on Sarah is now set to run tomorrow, Tuesday, March 18. The reporter has asked me to urge anyone who knew Sarah to contact the reporter at [email protected] or 602.444.8614.

2. The reporter has just informed me that because Phoenix police closed Sarah's case as "Undetermined" with respect to suicide or homicide, Child Protective Services will seal the file, preventing the public from the truth -- specifically if CPS was urged or warned by medical professionals that Erica was a danger to Sarah. I believe that Phoenix police and other officials are betting that we'll tire of the hassle and they won't have to own up to flaws in the system. This adds insult to injury. First, it denies Sarah justice, and second, it does nothing to facilitate change in the system so we can protect other children.

3. I have set up an email address for the Sarah Stevens effort. The address is:
[email protected] . Please share this address with anyone you think might want to participate or be kept apprised of developments in this matter.

4. The reporter has asked the medical examiner to examine blood types of Sarah and Erica as several people have indicated they thought Sarah may have been abducted years ago by Erica.

5. Again please, please, please urge anyone who cares about protecting at-risk children or anyone who new Erica and Sarah to please email me at this address to opt-in to the Sarah Stevens Action Update email newsletter. Thus far, the list is in no way large enough. If each of you would recruit two people to the list, we can begin to build a formidable grass roots effort and actually make a difference.
