A friend may agree with anything, to make you feel better.
A real friend will tell you like it is, and make you think.
A friend is there sometimes.
A real friend is always there, through the good and bad.
A friend may ask how you are, but really don't care what you say.
A real friend cares,
Hurts when you hurt,
Cries when you cry,
Always there to help,
Gives you their shoulder to cry on,
Grabs a tissue to wipe away the tears,
To genuinely care about how you feel,
Offers their help from hundreds of miles away,
And would be there in a minute if they could.
Real friends are ones, who may sit by a phone or computer, anxiously waiting for you to see how you are,
In life you may have many friends,
But only a handful of real true genuine friends,
Those are the ones that stay deep with in your soul,
So to my handful of real friends I "Thank you" ever so deeply from my heart.
