Rotorua

We then travelled from Turangi thru Taupo to Rotorua.
We stayed in a motel there for 2 nights, visiting parks, lakes, going on the Luge, pedal boats and generally taking in the smells of Rotorua.

Here we are taking a walk round Kurirau Park in Rotorua, took a look at the mud pools and boiling water

Here are the boys enjoying the "cool and refreshing freshness" of the Blue Lake... Only the kids swum in here!

James and Kylie went down the scenic route together, and James stopped at every scenic spot and got out of his kart and took a look at the view...
we did tell him that there were places to do just that and he took us literally!!! It was a very long ride!
James found it a little bit scarey but was happy to try again and got braver as he went along...

James and Steven went down the luge together at "speed" James liked and was scared of it at the same time.
Alex had a turn too, with Mum, and James went a bit faster this time, bypassing the scenic stops for the most part... Alex loved it, no fear, just lots of "woohoo" and "GoGo"

We had a go on the pedal boat on lake Rotorua... well Mum pedalled, James could only just reach the pedals ... it was hard work!

Down at Rotoruas lake front, city centre, is another great park, which the kids got to play on...
James whizzed down the slides, and tried out all the equipment, along with James...
Even Kylie got a go on the slide.

Here is what not to do on a slide...
Do not try and go down standing up, as this can happen...
James wasnt hurt but gave him a big scare!
Managed to capture it all on camera, which James now thinks is great, he said pity it wasnt a video he could send it in to funniest home videos!!
