This page is in memory of my dad.
We lost him on May 14, 2001 very suddenly.
Apparently, God had other plans for him.
I thank God everyday that he gave me the best Dad in the whole world!
There isn't a better man out there that could have been a better friend, husband, or father.
I miss you Daddy - I love you!

God's finger touched him, and he slept.

In Memory of my Dad!
HOME
While on active duty with the United States Army Dad served two tours in the Republic of Vietnam during the periods November 17,1969 through June 16,1971 and December 3,1974 through January 17,1975.
His military awards include the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Good Conduct Medal Second Award, Overseas Bars Thied Award, and the
Louisiana Emergency Service Ribbon.
To see a pictures of my dad and his helicopter during his 2 tours in "nam" click on the camera below.  A friend of his told me this helicopter was his baby.  Partly due to the fact he was the only one who knew anything about it when they got it in.  These pictures are courtesy of Roy Burrrow!
Roy,  Thanks You so much for putting this page up for Dad!  I only wish Dad could see it!  He would have loved it!

In Our Hearts

We thought of you with love today.
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our hearts.

My dad was not only an army staff sargent while in Vietnam and currently in the National Guard but he was also your tipical dad.  He had
HIS chair and you better not touch the remote.  If you wanted to watch something eles beside sci-fi or action, you better hoped it came on while he wasn't at home or you could pick it up on the three local channels in another room.  10 p.m. was bed time and I remember getting up after he went to bed and sneaking      in the living room to watch TV.
HE was a HUGE sci-fi fan.
He loved watching star trek.  I don't think there was an episode that he missed!
I also remember those times that I was mad or sad.  He would dance around and act a fool or give me a big ol' bear hug until I laughed.  He was so silly at times. And he always said
" The baby does no wrong"
of course talking about me! He was a great Dad and sacrificed so much for me and the rest of the family.  He loved us so much and we love him!
Family Chain

We little knew that morning,
God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at out side.

Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
