Selecting The Right Capacity  Solar Geyser
HEATMAX Solar Geysers are available in various Capacities, starting from 100 LPD and in multiples of 100 Liters.

Selection of the right Capacity is vital as this parameter decides Success or Failure of a Solar Geyser.

The following is the Selection Guide:        Note : LPD stands for  LITERS PER DAY

100 LPD  -          Suitable for 3- 4 membered Family taking One Time Bath ( Morning or Evening)
No:of Connections  -
2
Max. Piping Length -  20 - 25 Feet (Vertical + Horizontal)

200 LPD   -
Suits 5-8 membered Family taking One Time Bath
No: Of Connections  - 4
Max. Piping Length  -
30 -35 Feet (V+H)

300 LPD  - Suits  joint families with more than 8 upto 12 members taking One Time Bath
No: Of Connections - 4
Max. Piping Length -
30- 40 Feet (V+H)

500 LPD - Suitable for Large Bunglows with 2 -3 Bath Tubs and  Cubicle Shower Panels

Alternate Method of Calculating  Right Capacity :

Each Bath Room point - 50 Liters

For Eg:  4 Bathrooms X 50 Lts  =  200 LPD

Correct Capacity can be derived using both the above methods.

HEAT LOSSES

When  Hot  water  flows from the system and reaches the user point, hot watertemp reduces as the result of heat losses in the Plumbing line (G.I. Pipe).

To avoid huge heat losses we recommend  shorter plumbing line between System and User Point.

The bathrooms which are closer to the System get very high Temp (Steaming) water when compared to distant user points.

We recommend Insulation of  Exposed G.I Pipes for better temp. gain.

other way to Avoid heat losses is to eliminate the use of metallic (G.I) pipes, Newer much better Non-Metal Polymer pipes are available for this Particular Purpose.

these are : PPR pipes, CPVC pipes. among these two, PPR pipes have  high durability and strength.

for new constructions we recommend usage of PPR pipes
( POLY- PROPOLEYENE -RANDOM -Co Polymer)
