NUPhys Research and Networks

The department is chosen as the regional center of the Institute of the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST) in Bangkok. This enables the department to organise physics camps and traning courses for school physics teachers and school students throughout the year.   NU Physics Department is welcomed by the Federal Arrangement Scheme, Abdus Salam International Centre for  Theoretical Physics(ICTP), Italy. The scheme provides opportunities and grants for NU Phys faculty members to attend the activity organised by ICTP every year.  As the origin of  the "youngsters network": The Tah Poe Group of Theoretical Physics(Tptp) , a network group of young physicists around Thailand, NU Physics Department today is one of most attractive department in Thailand for  young theoretical physicists to collaborate, share their idealism and create academic activity.

Our researchers have a research network collaborations with researchers in Thailand and overseas e.g.

1. Computational Space Physics Group at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok

2. Sirindhorn Observatory of Chiang Mai University

3. Beijing Astronomical Observatory, Chinese Academy of Science, China

Other academic cluster:

NU branch of  the Tah Poe Group of Theoretical Physics (Tptp):
Tptp group is aimed to be an inter-universities network and collaboration in theoretical physics education development in Thailand. The group will have another branch at  Mahasarakham university. It currently has members in Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Suranaree, Prince of Songkhla and Chulalongkorn universities.
