ROCKY MOUNTAIN "HIGHS"
On Steve Flagler's birthday we climbed this one.  Though there was snow capped areas not this much.  Peyto Lake is in the background, this being Bow Summit.  Rhona nearly fell into a Marmot hole and Steve nearly killed the Marmot with falling rocks.  The skier.....well Becky is taking me up there this year to do backcountry skiing downhill...pay up the life insurance in the meantime.
I was one of the Highest people in the country for it's birthday!!! On July 1st, 2002, I stood atop Crowfoot Mountain 1100 feet above the Pacific or Atlantic.  Waving a HUGE Canada flag.  Oh boy, what a rush.  The snow, sleet, wind and looking back over the province of BC and the icefields!
Bow Glacier Falls. I did this trek many times.  The top of the waterfall is only reachable by experienced hikers.  Atop the waterfall is Iceberg Lake.
So I reached the top of the waterfall twice and this is what you see.  The Wapta Icefields and Iceberg Lake.  Awesome sight!
This is the hike to Bow Hut, a remote hut in the middle of the mountains!
Standing ontop of the Icefields looking back east.  Almost see Ontario!!!  COLD
Mount Stephen.  In Yoho, BC.  I climbed it with two other co-workers on a HOT day.  Slow trek
Sulphur Mountain in Banff.  I climbed in November, a steep very icy trail.  Took the gondola down...so I cheated a bit!
THE FUTURE HAS IN STORE...
