Numair A. Choudhury was born in Bangladesh in 1975. He studied and loved creative writing in Oberlin College, Ohio, and then at the University of East Anglia, Norwich . He is currently enrolled in the University of Texas at Dallas for his PhD in Literature, where he is completing work on his first novel, an extract of which was published in the anthology Babel.


Numair has been published extensively in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Canada,
the United States, and the United Kingdom. Recent noteable publications include
the short story "Taxiwallah" in the Sulekha.com book and another piece in Story-Wallah! in which prominent fiction writers, including Salman Rushdie, Michael Ondaatje, Anita Desai, Rohinton Mistry, Jhumpa Lahiri, and Hanif Kureishi
"hawk their wares."
