A Crossdresser's HALLOWEEN
Yes, it's coming, and I'm counting the days - or should I say nights, when once again I can get dressed up and legitimately go out. I can go anywhere I want, do anything I want and have an excuse. After all, it's Halloween and everyone will be dressed up. I've done it for years, and it's always been great.
A couple of years ago, Carol made a comment that I took very seriously, "You're so good at being a woman when dressed that people are going to see you as you really are, - a cross dresser. You can't play at Halloween any more unless you're going to go in something that will make you funny, stupid and etc." OH,  that kind of shot me down. Now what? I really didn't want to go out that way; I wanted to be all that I can be, and not funny or stupid.
It was not hard to figure out. If I were to be all that I can be, it should not be on Halloween without a very special occasion. And then it will be a serious occasion, not one of spoof and hilarity. If there might be a time of doubt it would be on Halloween when everyone is looking to see through your costume. If there is ever a time you're going to be read, it's the night of the goblins and ghosts.
I would never deny anyone the opportunity to do what they want, but for me I'll hand out candy to the kids. It's really their night to howl.
I personally will go out when no one expects me to be in a costume. You see, for me it's not a costume, but it's me for real.
Love to all and especially the little goblins and ghosts.
Happy Halloween,
Sandy Leigh
