The other day Sandy and I sat down to bowls of cereal. He had his standard size and I my condiment size. I finished first, naturally, and with a small dribble of milk in the bottom, I tipped up the bowl, poured the milk into my spoon, and put the spoonful of milk into my mouth. He laughed hysterically and said...You need to run a behavior and decorum class for CDers! Some of them know need to how to do that. This opened a whole realm of experiences I have encountered recently. I heard another story about one of our gals who had borrowed clothing from the wife, and then returned it to the drawer unwashed. Another was pretending his breast forms were basketballs and flipping them back and forth. An article was comparing the impersonating of a female to the practice early last century of black face performers. And I personally get sick and tired of hearing about panties. In the last 20 years, I remember discussing bras once and panties never, with another girlfriend. |

Before I go any further...please realize, I am NOT including all our sisters in this. Hopefully this pertains to only a few. But I, for one, have a hard time convincing anyone that crossdressing is a condition when there are some out there so over the hill in behavior as to not be the least bit convincing that they are doing anything but making a mockery of the whole situation. I recently heard a radio program talking about the tricksters of history, and yes, even in religion, in fiction, and lore. Without exception, every major culture has its tricksters and without exception, all the archetypal mythic trickster figures are male. Even in todays comics and cartoons, all are male figures. Wylie Coyote, Bugs Bunny, Garfield in fiction, Howard Stern and Dennis Rodman in fact. They turn the world upside down, do what we might want to do but would never consider, and break all the taboos and get away with it. They are rogues, un-socialized and selfish. There are no adult female tricksters. The idea of a female rogue is scary. The first woman that any of us encountered was Mom. The concept of a mother as being unreliable or tricky is scary. Where there are occasional occurrences of a female trickster, she is young, and not of motherhood status. The role of mother status is considered too societally important to ever have an adult female trickster. Men can amuse and trick, but the primal instinct in us all restricts that role from the female. |

I can relate. When I experience a CDer being boisterous, uncouth, not lady like, and in fact, being a trickster, I am at a loss to defend them as having a condition they were born with and an honest desire to experience their femme side. Exaggerated mannerisms and exotic attire make a mockery of the whole concept of experiencing their femme side. Please ladies; mind your Ps and Qs. Remember the ancient societies who revered the woman as the mother figure, much too important to ever become a trickster Save your hilarity; ladies of old even covered their mouth to laugh. Any behavior that would draw attention to one-self is considered uncouth. Table manners speak volumes about your upbringing and status in society. Overt sexuality, explicit language, and bodily noises belong someplace out of sight. True women have spent a lifetime learning the behavior that makes them lady-like. To experience the femme as anything less is to make a mockery of precisely what you want society to accept. You want them to believe that you do have a femme side, that you have a softer, gentler personality you would like to experience, and you are not trying to draw attention to yourself as a trickster or clown. If that is what you are wanting, conduct yourself in such a way as to be believable. And that is much more than breast forms, waist cinchers, wigs, and heels. It is the very way your deportment shows. It is the action that speaks much, much louder than words!I can relate.
