| EVENING RIDE TO TELUK TEMPOYAK MARCH 21st 2001 Yesterday we had fun riding in the evening (which actually turned out to be a Nite Ride actually) from Sg Dua to Telok Tempoyak. We all gathered at Lawlee's house at Lip Sin Lengkok Nipah.Actually , I was there at 6pm sharp! I realize that Richie Ong (the guy I thought had met at Kabuki)stayed almost side by side with Lawlee. I also found that Richie kept his Montana spotless clean in his living room! About 15 minutes later, the Teng-Kar's which are Richard on his Quicksilver and Andy on his GT arrived. As usual, we started praising each other,looking and comparing each other's bike and also not to forget, putting eachother down.Richie then started to pass his LM cigarette around in his bid to make us smoke so that we will not be performing well...to make sure he can be at parwith us.At this time , I was busy intimidating Richie's kids.At about 6.48pm, the curtain was raised and Raymond arrive on his GT-I drivefollowed by the ever faithful wife Stephanie. I got the chance to take alook at the acclaimed GT-I drive and also test rode the bike (for a short distance only la...) as Raymond was looking at me from the corner of hiseye. He must be thinking " is this crazy Intel guy gonna steal my bike aaa?". However he did told me not to jump with his bike! SJ is gonna meet us at Phase III Customs.We started the ride and when we reached Bosch, we did a short off road excursion. Here, Stephanie showed signs of cramp but all that was taken care by the ever loving husband of hers, Raymond I-drive.We then proceeded to Teluk Tempoyak. The climb was quite steep and here we got the first major casualty. Mrs I-drive was down! I learnt that she did not take food prior to the ride and also skip lunch. What did Intel do to her? Richard and I came down, met them and Richard rode up Steph's bike and I push mine and the Gt-Idrive up .I thought of riding both bikes up but whoon earth ever did that? Maybe Andy can...! However, Richie and SJ showed that they are actually not Nui Kars. They made the climb in one breath! Reached the top and Steph rested and then it was all the way downhill to the seaside villge of Teluk Tempoyak. Good fun riding the DH..a breeze....even Steph can do it.....who in the world can't do a DH.At Teluk Tempoyak, we had Lime/Asam juice, rice and each person 1 damn bloody big fish. we were spending most of our time eating or looking at YST and guessing their weights. Then Andy had to rideback first as he had to pickup Mrs Teng Kar.the fish and rice cost each person RM17.00 nd Andy paid for all the drinks. Thanks Andy!!!! Let's do it gain!.We statrted back and found the climb back was much steeper. However, Richie and SJ made it in one breeze too. Lawlee is developing into a Teng Kar too.Raymond couldn't show his stuff as he had to accompany Mrs I-drive who hadto push. can't blame her, the climb was steep!!! after the climb, MrsI-drive had no problem cycling.It was fun though. Let's do it again. Goal of the ride : To eat at Teluk Tempoyak! Achievement : All managed to eat there! Key Learning : Eat the correct food before you ride! |
