Its Gertak Sanggul Again Sun May 27 01

There were supposed to be the whole group but since Richie ,
Raymond and Stef decided to opt out, it was left to only  Richard, Andy , Lawlee and I.
We met at Andys and again, breakfast was on him. His dad
Simply refused to take our money. We rode out from Andys at about 8.10am.
We decided to ride up Gertak Sanggul to Pulau Betong and back via the same track. Richard and Andy were nowhere to be seen until we reached the open area. I was riding with Lawlee as company. When the ride commenced, Richard and Andy were again nowhere to be seen. They were too fast for us. Again it was Lawlee and I. The ride up was faster than last week and I had a splash in the cool waters, just to get my energy back. The trail was not very dry, and this helped us to get better traction. We can see durian being harvested and I was tempted to go back and buy some the next time around.
When we reached Pulau Betong, we did not go down to the settlement, but rested and started back. The ride back saw Richard and Andy again speeding off. Lawlee stopped to get some mini durians for his kids to play with whilst I stopped for another splash.
I have never tried riding back on this trail but it was sheer fun. I was almost thrown off balance thrice as I was going quite fast. Lawlee was shouting to me to slow down. After reaching the open area, it was downhill all the way. It was more fun and we got to go faster here, but at the same time keep a lookout for on coming vehicles. We completed this ride just before 10am.
On the way back to Andys we stopped at Tanjong Asam and continued the ride after 10 minutes after disturbing a couple of fishermen who were removing freshly caught fish from their nets. Overall, it was a quick and fast ride and we had fun as we able to really ride out at our best. All in all, we clocked 32 km of travel.
Looks like Ive got to get myself some riding mates for next week as the rest are going on a MTB shopping spree in KL.
Think Ill either do Mt. Erskine or fly my planes. Or, maybe ride to the stall we stopped last week and makan durian.
