| It wasn't until after Kara left that I realized how infatuated with her I've become. I lay awake at night thinking about the one kiss I stole from her. I can still taste her soft lips, and feel her hands on the back of my neck pulling me closer to her. I can still smell her sweet scent: a mixture of strawberries, vanilla, and laundry detergent. I see the slight swish of her hips as she walks by. Every curve of her body constantly on my mind. It's only been three days and already I feel myself slipping away. I have to see her again. There's no way I can wait four more days. "Well, what do you guys want to do? I'm bored out of my mind." Chris said as we all sat in my living room. "I suggest getting drunk until we pass out, but I think we're all out of alcohol." Justin said. "What about drugs? I know a guy we could get some from." Joey said. We all turned and stared at him in disbelief. "You can't possibly be serious, can you?" Lance asked. "It was just a suggestion." "Anything else we can actually do?" Chris asked as we all turned away from Joey. "Sleeping is always good." I said. "We're not all you, JC. We actually have energy." Justin said smiling. "Well that's what I want to do." My phone rang and Chris jumped up and answered it before I could even get out of my seat. "Hello?..... Yes, this is his house...... Chris.... Hi Kara!" I jumped up and ran to Chris. He turned his back to me as I reached for the phone. "Give it to me." I whispered. "How you doing?...... Yeah, same here...... Sounds fun, I wish I could be doing that again.... No, not really." He looked up at me and laughed. "Well, JC looks like he's about to have a heart attack. I better give him the phone..... Bye." He handed me the phone and I hit him on the arm. "Hi Kara." She laughed. "Hi. Chris is something else." "You don't have to tell me. So, how are things in New York?" "Shitty. I want to leave so bad. This is the first break I've had since I got here. All day its 'Kara, pose for this! Kara, answer this! Kara, wear this!' I don't think I can put up with it any longer." "You just have to tough it out. You'll live, I promise." She sighed. "I can't wait to come see you." My heart jumped into my throat. "Really?" "Yeah. I miss you. I know that sounds weird since we just met, but I do." I smiled. "I miss you too." "Why are you people always over here?" I said as I scrambled through the house attempting to clean. "Because we love you. What the hell are you doing?" Chris asked. "What does it look like I'm doing? I'm cleaning, genius." "Why?" "Kara's coming over and my house has to be immaculately clean for her." "Why?" I looked at him. "You've obviously not had a girl in your house for quite some time." "Well, no." Justin laughed. "Don't make fun of Chris now. You need some help?" "No, I'm good!" I yelled running into the other room. "You sure?!" he yelled back. "Yeah!" The doorbell rang and I panicked. "Oh my God!" Chris walked to the door but I ran in front of him and opened it. Kara stood there, looking as beautiful as ever. "Hi. I hope you don't mind I'm early." she said smiling. "I don't mind at all. It's good to see you again." I said hugging her. "Hi Chris." I let go of her to see Chris standing at my side. He took her hand and kissed it. "Hello lovely lady." She giggled. "Am I going to get some of this?" Justin asked joining us. "Hi Justin." He quickly took her in his arms and dipped her, kissing her cheek. "Whoa! No one's ever done that before." "Can you guys please give us a little room to get in the house?" I asked annoyed. "Oh, sure." "And this is my room." I said to Kara as I took her on a tour of my house. "Oooh." she said walking in. I followed a little shocked that such a beautiful woman was in my bedroom. "Oh my God, your bed is huge." She jumped onto it and laid down. Oh God. This isn't happening. She sat up and smiled at me. "Why don't you join me?" she said devilishly. My eyes widened. "What?" She laughed. "Come on JC, get a since of humor. I'm just joking. So tell me, how much fun have you had in this monstrously large bed?" I smiled and laid down next to her. "More fun then you've ever had, I'm sure." She raised her eyebrow. "You wanna bet?" "Yes." "Ok then. Where's the wildest place you've ever had sex?" "The car wash." Her mouth dropped open. "Are you serious?" I smiled. "Yes. What about you?" "God, I can't compare to that. The wildest place I've ever done it was in the bathtub... And that was my first time." "I've always wanted to do it there." She smiled. "The car wash doesn't sound too bad either. What was that like?" I blushed. "I have to go into details?" "Yes. Tell me." "Gee... What do you want to know?" "Where in your car? How much time did you have? You know, stuff like that." "I don't know if I want to talk about this with you." "Please. I really want to know." "Why?" "Because I do. I'm curious." I smiled. "You're not very experienced, are you?" "No. That's why I'm curious. Please tell me." Justin walked into the room and shook his head. "What are you two kids doing?" he asked. "Talking about sex. Could you leave us alone for a minute?" "Uh, ok." He walked away shocked. "So, you both fit in the back seat?" Kara was so engulfed in what I was telling her. I can't believe she actually wants to hear this. "Yes. You ever tried?" "No." "Well, you can fit. It's a little cramped, but who cares?" She smiled. "I want to do that one day." I smiled and leaned close to her ear. "We can do it right now." She laughed. "Sorry, but I can't do it with you." "That sucks." She smiled and jumped off the bed. "I want to do something." "What?" "I don't know. I don't just want to sit here though." "Well, I already suggested something, but you didn't like that idea." She laughed. "Come on." She walked out of the room and I got up and followed her. We walked into the living room to see Chris and Justin sitting on the couch. "Hey! You guys still here?" Kara asked sitting down between them. "Yeah. Finish your talk?" I smiled. "Yep." Kara put her arms around Chris and Justin. "You guys want to do something?" "I thought you'd never ask." Chris said pushing her down and getting on top of her. She laughed. "Chris, you devil." She wrapped her arms around him and moaned. "Knock it off." Justin said pulling Chris up. Kara started laughing hysterically. I raised my eyebrow. "Maybe we should.... leave." She stood up and tried her hardest to walk to me. She composed herself after a few minutes. "Ok, let's go." We came back home from the movie two hours later. "Good, they're gone." I said when I noticed Justin's car wasn't in the driveway. I saw Kara staring at the house across the street. "What?" She turned to face me. "That house is for sale?" "Yeah. Why?" "Uh, I'm looking for a house. I need to be down here for my manager and stuff." My face lit up. "It would be great if you moved across the street! We could have so much fun!" She smiled. "Yeah, we would! That's why I'm looking. They're having an open house tomorrow. You wanna go with me?" "I'd love to." The next morning Kara and I walked across the street to the open house. "Hi JC! What are you doing over here?" Mrs. Jerauld said. "My friend's looking for a house and saw yours for sale." She turned to Kara and smiled. "How I do love JC's famous friends. Hello, I'm Debbie Jerauld." Kara shook her hand. "Hi. I'm Kara." "Well, I'm sorry I have to do this, but the realtor suggested we not be here. So I have to run." "It's ok. I've been through this too." She smiled as the realtor walked inside. "I'll see you later JC. Bye." "Bye." "Ah, you're the JC Debbie always tells me about. I hear you make a mean cup of tea." I smiled. "I don't like to brag." Kara slightly hit my arm. "Oh, yeah. My friend here is looking at houses and has her eye on this one." "Want a tour?" "Please." she said sweetly. "This is the master bedroom with an attached bathroom. Inside there is a large bathtub with jets, and a separate shower." The realtor opened the door to the bathroom and I saw Kara's face light up. She leaned close to me. "I love this place." she whispered. "Then move in." I whispered back. We continued the tour through the house and Kara got more excited as we moved on. We got back to the living room and the realtor turned to us. "Well, what do you think?" "I absolutely love it." "Are you interesting in buying it?" "Yes. I just need a night to think it over." The realtor reached into her pocket and pulled out a business card. "This is my card. Give me a call tomorrow and tell me your decision." "I will. Thank you." "I am so excited! I've never seen a house like that before! It's absolutely great!" "You gonna buy it?" "I don't know! I think I am, but I'm not sure." "You should. We would have a lot of fun." "So you told me before." "I hope you move in." "I probably will." We walked back into my house and went into the living room. "This is going to be so fun!" she said falling onto the couch. I sat down next to her and smiled. "So you're moving in?" "Yes!" I wrapped my arms around her and as unapparent as possible, I smelled her hair. She smells so good. I let go and she smiled at me. "So, can I come over if I ever need a cup of sugar?" "Well, I doubt I'll ever have any, but sure, why not." She laughed. "Thanks." The next morning Kara went across the street and signed the papers for the house. She came bouncing back to my house about an hour later. "I got the house!" she said jumping up and down. I smiled. "When are you moving in?" "Well, tomorrow I'm going home and packing up all of my stuff. The Jerauld's are going to be out in five days. So I figure I should be here in a week!" She hugged me and started jumping up and down again. "I am so happy!" "I am too." She quickly kissed me on the lips. "I am so happy." she whispered. I felt like I was melting. I smiled weakly and she backed away. "Just an innocent kiss." she said lightly running her fingers across my cheek. "Uh, yeah. I know." She smiled and walked away. "I'm making dinner!" Kara and I sat across from each other at the dinner table eating the spaghetti she made. "You going to help me move in?" she asked. "Of course. Why wouldn't I?" "I thought I'd be polite and ask." I smiled. "I am really glad you're moving in. Now I can see you all the time. Well, the times you're home anyway." She smiled. "I'm going to try to be home more often. I'm tired of being on the road all the time. I've been around long enough to start demanding stuff, right?" "I think you've passed that point a long time ago. Why won't they listen to you?" "I don't know, but the tour manager threatened to fire me." "Why?" "Uh, long story." I crossed my arms on the table. "I have time." She sighed and shifted uncomfortably. "Well, on my tour it's illegal to see co-workers. I kind of did and then he quit. We had to change the whole show because he was one of the main back-up dancers. Let's just say the manager wasn't happy." "You screwed a dancer?" "Yes, shut up. I don't want to think about it any more than I have to." I smiled. "Ok. I'll never bring it up again." "You'll call me right?" "JC, I'm going to be back in a week." We were next to Kara's car as she got ready to leave. "I know, but I still want to hear from you. A week is a long time, you know." She smiled. How can her smile be so beautiful? "Yeah, I know. Alright, I'll call you. Are you going to call me?" "You know it." She wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed my cheek. "Bye JC. I'll see you soon and talk to you sooner." "Bye." She opened her door and got inside. "Bye. Behave." I laughed. "I'll try, but just for you." She laughed. "Ok. I'll call you when I get home." She started her car and pulled away. She waved and I waved back. This week better go by fast. I don't know how long I can stand to be away from her. |
