| A half an hour later Ebony walked back downstairs. "Chris, I gotta go. Ebony just got out of the shower." "Ok. I'll talk to you later. Bye." "Bye." He hung up and Ebony sat down on his lap. She laid her head on his shoulder and he put his arms around her. "It's about time you got out of there. I missed you." he said kissing her. She smiled and closed her eyes. "Well, it wasn't my mom that called the other night, thank God. It was Chris." "Well that's good. Did you tell him?" "That we're together? Yeah." "Did you tell him anything else?" "No. But he asked." "What did you tell him?" "I told him we didn't do anything." She smiled and kissed him. "I love you." she said. "I love you too." "So, what do you want to for dinner?" "I don't care. Just as long as I eat it with you." She smiled. "Geeze, you need to stop it." she said standing up. "Stop what?" "Flattering me all the time. You're spoiling me." He stood up and help her hands. "Something as sweet as you can't be spoiled." he said kissing her. She blushed and looked at the ground. He smiled and kissed her cheek. The front door opened and Destiny and Justin walked in. Destiny had tears in her eyes. "Oh Destiny, what's wrong?" Destiny walked over to her and hugged her. "My dad gets worse every minute I don't call the engagement off." she said crying. Ebony frowned and looked at JC. "We might have to do dinner tomorrow." she said. "It's ok. I understand." She smiled and walked into the other room with Destiny. Justin fell back onto the couch and sighed. JC sat down next to him. "So, what's going on?" he asked. "Destiny's dad is pissed. He doesn't want her to marry me because she's too young and I'm even younger. And her brother's are threatening to kill me." "Oh. Well, what about her mom?" "She couldn't be happier. She wants us to get married." "Well, you know dads and brothers, they're just trying to protect her, you know?" "I don't see why, it's not like I'm going to hurt her or anything." "Besides her mom, she's the only girl in the family. And she's one of the babies. Of course they're going to protect her." He sighed and put his head in his hands. "Are you going to call it off?" "Hell no. I'm going to try as hard as I can to marry her. I don't care what her family does. But she's really worried about it. I'm afraid she's going to call it off." "She wouldn't do that." "I used to think so too. But now I'm beginning to doubt it." "My dad is such an asshole!" Destiny yelled through her sobs. "It's ok. Nothing they do can take you away from the one you love. Absolutely nothing." She just sat there crying. Her cell phone rang and she got it out of purse. "Hello?" she answered trying not to cry. "Oh honey, it's me. I'm still trying to get your dad and brothers to lighten up and leave you two alone." her mom said. "Are they even listening?" "Well, no. But I'm not going to give up!" She laughed a little but started crying again. "It's ok! You two will get married, whether they like it or not!" "But what if dad doesn't come to the wedding? Who's going to walk me down the aisle?" "He'll come to the wedding. He'll have to accept it sooner or later." "Mom, I'm really afraid Andy and Clark are going to try and hurt Justin." "No they won't. They're all talk. They don't have the balls to do it." She laughed. "Geeze mom." "Well they don't!" She sniffed. "Well mom, I have to go. I'm going to go home. I'm making Ebony miss a romantic dinner with JC right now." "Ok. I'll keep working, and I'll call you later." "Ok. Bye." "Bye." She hung up and stood up. "I'm sorry I'm making you miss dinner." "It's ok. It's not like we have to eat at a specific time. Are you sure you're going to be ok?" she asked as they walked out of the room. "Yeah. I'm just a little upset, that's all." Justin stood up and looked at Destiny. She smiled. "We have to leave, we're messing up Ebony and JC's plans." "Are you ok?" he asked. "Yeah. My mom told me not to worry about them, that they're just talk and stuff. So, I guess we'll figure something out sooner or later." He smiled. "So, as of now, the wedding's still on?" "Of course. Well, we'll see you guys later." she said as they walked to the door. "Bye." Ebony and JC said as they walked out. She sighed. "So, you ready for dinner?" He smiled. "Yeah." "So, you're leaving soon?" Ebony said sadly as she and JC sat in Destiny's living room. "Yeah. And if it weren't for you going to LA I'd stay here. Or ask you to come home with me. I'm really going to miss you." he said kissing her. She half smiled. "I'm going to miss you two. I don't think I'll be able to put up with losing you again." "You won't be losing me. I'll just be a phone call away." She looked at him with tears forming in her eyes. He frowned and hugged her. "I'll see you again, I promise. Maybe when you get back from LA you could come down and visit." She sniffed. "Maybe." "See? Don't get upset." He said running his fingers through her hair. Destiny stomped out of her room and into the living room. "Ebony! I'm moving to Orlando! Come with me!" "What?!?" "I'm moving to Orlando to get away from my over-protective family! So you have to come with me. We work together!" "Destiny, have you thought about this at all?" "Yes! I've been thinking about it all week!" "I don't know about this." "Please Ebony. I can't be away from Justin, I have to get away from my family, and you need to be with JC." JC smiled and looked at her. "I don't know." "Please." Destiny whined. "Don't you think this is kind of sudden?" "Not for me." "It is for me!" "Please do this for me." "I don't know." "Please." She looked at JC and he was smiling. "Do you think I should do this?" He smiled. "Of course. We'd be so close." She thought for a few minutes. "Well, ok." she said finally. "Great! Oh thank you so much!" Destiny said hugging her. "And we're just going to go down there with all of our stuff and expect to immediately find a house?" "No. When we get back from LA we're going there to visit our men, and we're gonna look for houses then. Well, not me. I'm moving in with Justin." "Umm, ok." "You can move in with JC." Destiny said nudging her. "I don't think so. No offense or anything." she said to JC. "None taken." "Oh thank you so much!!" she said hugging her again. A week later she was at JC's house. He picked her up and spun around with her in his arms. She laughed. "Stop, I'm going to hurl all over you!" "That wouldn't be good." he said putting her down. "No. Thank you for stopping." "We have to go to Justin's house." "Why?" "I have to sport my new girl to all the guys." he said smiling. "Oh please." "We can put your stuff in my room." he said taking her bags and walking upstairs. She smiled and followed him. She walked in and looked around. "Nice room. Oh, big bed," she said sitting down on it. "Soft too." she said bouncing up and down. He smiled and sat down on top of her. He kissed her. "Aren't we supposed to be going to Justin's?" she asked as he pushed her down. "They can wait." he said kissing her again. An hour later JC and Ebony walked into Justin's house. They walked into the living room to see everyone sitting down and talking. "And where have you two been?" Justin asked. "At my house, nosey." JC said sitting down on the floor. Ebony sat down next to him. "I'm sure you two had a little reunion." Destiny said smiling. Chris and Justin looked at Destiny. "I didn't think they've done that." Chris said. Ebony shook her head and mouthed 'no'. "Uh, I was just joking." Chris raised his eyebrow and looked at JC. "What?" JC asked. "Did you lie to us?" "No." Justin smiled. "I think you did." "No I didn't." Chris looked at Ebony. "Ebony?" "What?" she asked quietly. "Was JC lying to us?" "No." "All lies!" She smiled. "Ah ha! You're smiling!" "I'm smiling because you're way over-dramatic." "I don't appreciate that little missy." She stuck her tongue out. Lance smiled. "You all are lying. I can smell sex on you two." "What?" Ebony and JC said at the same time. "When you've been on a bus with Joey for a good four or five years, you know when someone has just had sex." Ebony's mouth dropped open. "Lance, I think you pay a little too much attention to us." JC said. "Really." Joey said. He smiled. "Hey, I've picked up a wonderful skill." "Yes you have, and now we know that JC's been lying to us. What else have you lied to us about?" Chris asked. "Chris, get off it." "So, you two have had sex?" Justin asked. JC sighed and looked down. "Yes." Ebony said. "When?" "I think you've gotten enough information. Don't ask any more questions." Ebony said. JC and Ebony sat in JC's computer rooms looking for houses for sale on the internet. "I like that one." JC said. "I don't. It doesn't have a porch." "Do you need a porch?" "Yes. What about that one?" "It's too far away." "It's closer than Louisville." "Good point. But do you really want to drive that far to get to me every day?" he asked smiling. "Umm, who said anything about me coming over here? You're coming to my house." "Ok then. I won't drive that far." She sighed. "Fine." "Do we have to do this now?" he asked kissing her neck. "Yes." she said staring at the screen as he still kissed her. "But why?" he asked taking a short break. "Because I need a house." "But you can do that later." "No, I can do this later." she said smiling and pushing him away. His mouth dropped open. "I can't believe this. I've been rejected by my own girlfriend." "Get used to it." she said staring at the screen again. "No, I won't get used to it." he said turning the computer off and kissing her. "I have every right to kick your ass right now." "But you won't because you love me." he said smiling. "Yeah." she said kissing him. JC lay on top of Ebony in his bed, kissing her. He took her shirt off and her cell phone rang. "Oh no!" he said. "JC, I need to get this." "No, you got to answer mine and throw it across the room!" "But this is my mom." she said looking at the call id. He sighed and sat up. "Fine." "Hello?" "Hey honey! What are you doing?" "Just hanging out with JC." "Oh. I'm not interrupting anything am I?" "No, what would you be interrupting?" "Oh, I don't know." her mom said innocently. "God mom." "Anyway! Any luck on houses?" "Not really, I kind of got interrupted earlier." she said glaring at JC. He smiled. "Umm, ok. So, how are things going?" "Good. It's really fun down here. A little more hot than I would like, but I guess I'll get used to it." "It's really gonna be hot when you're with me." JC whispered. "Shut up!" she whispered. "What?" "Nothing, I was talking to JC." she said hitting his arm. "Mmm hmm. Well, you sound busy, I'll call you back later." "Mom, you don't have to do that." "Honey, don't worry about it. I have stuff to do anyway." "Well, ok. I'll talk to you later then." "Ok, bye." "Bye." She hung up and looked at JC. "You are so lucky she didn't hear that." He smiled. "Well, she didn't. So don't worry about it." he said kissing her. "But what if she did?" "She didn't." She sighed. "Don't worry about it. Besides, you know it's the truth." he said smiling. She smiled. "Yeah." she said pulling him down and kissing him. A month later Ebony was moved into her new house. She was finishing painting one of the guest rooms when someone knocked on her door. She ran downstairs and looked out the window to see JC. She smiled and opened the door. "Hey sweetie." he said kissing her cheek and walking in. "Hi." she said closing the door. "I brought you this to celebrate your new house." he said holding up a bottle of wine. "We'll have to enjoy this later tonight." she said taking it and walking into the kitchen. "So, what are you doing?" "Painting." "Painting what?" "The guest room upstairs." "Oh. Need any help?" "Nope. I'm almost done." "Well, ok." She put the bottle in a bucket of ice and walked back upstairs. He followed her and stood in the doorway of the room. She picked up her roller and started painting again. "You've done this whole room by yourself?" JC asked. "Yeah. It's not that hard." He smiled. "I should hope not." "So, what have you been doing all day?" "Thinking about you." "Really, what have you been doing all day?" "Sleeping." She laughed. "That sounds more like you." "You don't think I think about you all day?" "Not really." "Well, you're sadly mistaken." he said walking in and putting his arms around her waist. "Oh am I?" she asked smiling. "Yes." he said kissing her. "You want that wine now? Even though I'm sure it's not cold yet." she asked. "Sounds good to me." An hour later Ebony and JC were a little drunk. "I think you're the most beautiful person in the world." JC said kissing her. "I think you're sexy." she said kissing him back. They were sitting on the floor and Ebony fell backwards while JC was kissing her. She started laughing. He laid down on top of her and kissed her. "You know what JC?" "What?" "I don't think you should drive home. I don't want you to crash or something." "I wasn't planning on going home anyway." he said kissing her again. "That's good." She said as he unzipped her pants. Chris and Joey walked into the room, unnoticed. JC slipped her pants off and Chris coughed. Ebony looked up and laughed. "Hey guys! What's up?!?" she asked sitting up. She quickly got dizzy and fell back down. She started laughing again. JC smiled and put his head on her stomach. "Are you two drunk?" Joey asked. "No." Ebony said innocently. "Yeah sure, do you want us to come back later?" "No! You guys can stay!" JC looked at her sadly. "Oh get over it." she said pushing him off. "Can one of you help me up?" she asked. Chris took her hands and pulled her up. "Whoa!" she said laughing. JC slowly stood up and Ebony fell onto him. They both fell back down to the floor. JC laughed and Ebony closed her eyes. "I'm tired." "You know what? We're gonna leave. We'll come back tomorrow when you two are sober." Chris said as he and Joey left. "Ok! Bye!" Ebony said. "So, how are we going to get up?" JC asked when he heard the front door close. "I dunno." Ebony said rolling over so she was facing JC. He kissed her. He stopped and licked his lips. "Are you wearing lip gloss?" he asked. "Yeah." she said putting her head on his chest and closing her eyes. He smiled and slowly sat up. He took a deep breath. "Ok, you need to get up so I can stand up." She rolled off of him and he stood up. He took her hands and pulled her up. "So, what do you wanna do?" Ebony asked devilishly. "I don't think I can make it upstairs. There's a room down here, right?" "Yeah." "Alrighty then." he said walking down the hallway with Ebony hanging on his side. He opened the door. "Umm, Ebony?" "Yeah?" "There's no bed here." "I never said there was." He smiled and closed the door again. "So, I guess we have to try and walk up the stairs." He got to the stairs and took one step at a time. Ebony almost fell down four times. They finally got to her room a few minutes later. He closed the door and she stumbled to the bed. She climbed in and started jumping on it. He laughed and pulled her down so she was laying down. He kissed her and his phone ran. "I'll just be a second." he said picking it up. "Hello?" "Hey JC! It's Justin!" "Umm, hey. What's up?" "Nothing. I just felt like talking. Destiny's asleep so I decided to call you." "Well, I'm kinda busy right now." "Oh, I gotcha. Well, I guess I'll talk to you later." "Ok. Bye." "Bye." He hung up and looked at Ebony. She was asleep. He sighed. "Great." A month later Destiny and Ebony were looking through a bridal shop. "Oh my God, Destiny, look at this one." Ebony said pointing to a dress. "Oh wow, it's beautiful!" She looked at the price tag. "And way to expensive." she said frowning. "You're getting married to Justin Timberlake. I think maybe you can afford it." "But it's the bride and her family that's supposed to take care of the wedding stuff." "Did he even offer to help?" "Yeah. But I told him no." "You're crazy." she said looking around again. "So, where is Justin?" Ebony asked. "Taking care of the church stuff." "Oh. So, it's gonna be in Louisville?" "Yeah. We agreed that would be the best thing to do. All of my bride's maids are there. And his groom's men are here. So, you know." "Yeah." Ebony found another beautiful dress and looked at the price tag. Oh, in her price range. "Oh Destiny! I found a dress." "Is it as expensive as the last one?" "Nope. It's in your range." "Really?!?" She looked at the dress. "Oh goody! I'm gonna go try it on!" she said hopping to the dressing rooms. Ebony sat down on a couch in front of the mirrors. She leaned back and looked around. She smiled. I'm glad I'm not the one getting married. Destiny came out of the room with the dress on. She walked on the platform and turned in a circle. "That's so pretty! Are you gonna get it?" Ebony asked. "Oh hell yeah!" The next two months went by painfully slow. Destiny and her mom worked out every single detail to the wedding. Everything from flowers and cakes to her dad and brothers. They eventually gave in and excepted the fact that Destiny was getting married, whether they liked it or not. After the first few weeks of planning Destiny realized there was no way in hell that her family was going to be able to pay for the wedding, so she asked Justin to help a little. And of course, he did. Ebony sat back and watched all of the hell Destiny was going through with planning the whole thing and decided she was never going to get married. Ebony stood in one of the back rooms in the church watching Destiny fix her veil. She turned around and faced Ebony. "Do I look ok?" she asked. "Girl, you look better than ok. You're beautiful." She smiled and hugged her. "Oh God, I think I'm gonna cry. NO! My mascara is gonna run!" "I told you to wear waterproof." Ebony said smiling. "No!!" she ran into the bathroom. Ebony started laughing. "Psst! Ebony!" She turned around and saw JC leaning into the room. She smiled and walked over to him. "Hey." she said kissing him. "Hi. How's Destiny doing?" "Well, right now she's freaking out about her mascara running. Other than that, she's fine and dandy." He laughed. "Are you ok?" he asked. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" "I don't know. Girl's get all emotional and stuff." She playfully hit him on the arm. "I don't appreciate that." He smiled. "Well, I just wanted to stop by and see how you guys were doing. I need to go tend to Justin. He's majorly freaking out." She laughed. "Is he really?" "Oh yeah. Well, I'll see you later. When we walk down the aisle" he said kissing her cheek and leaving. "Walking down the aisle?" She shivered. "No." She walked to the bathroom and saw Destiny sitting down crying. "Destiny, I know it's a wedding and all, but I don't think you're supposed to be crying this much." She smiled. "I just realized that if I do this, I'm never going to be able to change my mind. You know?" "Yeah. But you love Justin. Why would you change you're mind?" "I don't know." she said looking down. "Well, just to let you know, Justin's as nervous, if not more nervous than you." "Really?" "Yeah. JC came down here just a second ago." "Do you think he's having second thoughts?" "Everyone has second thoughts before they get married. It's just the jitters." "I guess. Can you go talk to JC and see what's up?" "Yeah. I'll be right back." She walked down the aisle and up to the alter. JC looked at her and smiled. "Hey, what's up?" he asked. "Can I talk to you alone for a minute?" "Yeah, sure. I'll be right back guys." he said to everyone as they walked away. "Is anything wrong?" he asked. "No. Destiny wants to know why Justin's freaking out." "That's a pretty stupid question." "I know. But she want's to know." "He's just got the wedding jitters." She smiled. "That's what I told her she has. Well, thanks. I guess I'll see you later." "Stay with me for a little while." "Why?" "Because I want to be with you." She smiled. "You can be with me whenever you want. But Destiny really needs me right now." "Ebony-" "JC, I don't have time to argue with you about this." "Why do you always put her before me?" "What?!? JC! She's getting married!" "It's not just now, you do it all the time." "I do not!" "Yes you do!" "Give me an example." "When we were supposed to go out to dinner and she came over and you canceled our plans without even thinking about it." "JC! She was crying! She needed me!" "Maybe I need you every now and then!" "I'm always with you! God, of all the times you could have picked to fight about this, you pick now! Why?!?" "Because I've put up with this long enough! I can't take it anymore!" "JC! This is bull shit! I don't have time for this!" she said turning around and walking away. He grabbed her arm and turned her around. "I seriously don't have time for this!" she yelled. "Why don't you love me anymore?!?" "I can not believe you just said that! I will always love you! I'll never stop!" "Sure could've fooled me!" She slapped him and walked away. She walked down to the dressing room and saw Destiny arguing with her dad. "I'm marrying him damnit! Nothing you do can stop me!" she yelled. "You're about to make the biggest mistake of your life." "NO I'M NOT! Why do you hate him so much?!?" "Because I know he doesn't love you! He's too young to know what true love is! And so are you!" "No I'm not! Why won't you realize that I've grown up! I'm not your little girl anymore!" "You'll always be my little girl!" "No I won't! And I'm not!" "Yes you are! And you will not marry that boy! That's an order!" She slapped him and ran past Ebony. She followed her. "Destiny, wait!" She turned around and hugged Ebony. She started crying. "Why won't he let me live my own life?" "It's ok." "No it's not!" JC quickly walked up and stopped when he saw Ebony and Destiny. "JC, leave." Ebony said. "But-" "Leave!" He frowned and walked away. "It's ok Destiny." Her dad walked into the hallway. "Ebony, can I have a second alone with my daughter?" he asked. "Do you want me to leave?" Ebony asked Destiny. "Yeah, I guess." Ebony smiled and walked away. Fifteen minutes later they were standing behind the doors going into the church. JC leaned close to Ebony's ear. "I'm sorry about earlier." he said. "Sure you are." "I am. I'm sorry I said that thing about you not loving me anymore. Because I know you do, and I still love you." She half smiled. "I love you." he said kissing her cheek. She turned her head and kissed his lips. "I love you too." He smiled and took her hand in his. Destiny walked into the room with her dad. "Are you two cool now?" Ebony asked. "Yeah. We worked everything out," Destiny said smiling. "Which is a good thing, because if we didn't no one would walk me down the aisle." Ebony laughed and the music started. Destiny and her dad stood out of view from everyone and the doors opened. "See you guys later." Ebony whispered to Destiny and her dad. Destiny smiled and mouthed 'wish me luck.' 'Good luck.' She mouthed back. Everyone was at the reception and Destiny and Justin were leaving in a few minutes. JC drug Ebony out onto the dance floor for the last dance of the night. "JC, I would really like to talk to Destiny before she leaves." she said as he put his arms around her. "It's not like they're going to leave without saying goodbye." he said. She smiled and put her arms around his neck. "So, do you think tonight is going to be anything special for the newlyweds?" JC asked. "Sure. It'll be their first time doing it as Mr. and Mrs. Timberlake." He laughed quietly. "Do you think this will ever be us someday?" he asked. "If it does, you're planning the wedding." He laughed. "Maybe I'll leave it to mom." he said smiling. The song was over soon and they quickly ran to where Justin and Destiny were. "Hey guys! I didn't think we were gonna see you before we left." Destiny said. "Well, were here. So stop worrying." Ebony said smiling. "Uh huh. Well, about to throw my bouquet, so go get a good spot." "Yeah, right." Ebony said walking away. "Hey girl! You gonna catch the bouquet?" Cailin asked her. "I'm more worried about getting trampled that actually catching the thing." Cailin laughed. "You know, whoever catches the bouquet is gonna get married soon." Ebony rolled her eyes. "Whatever." she said as they walked into the crowd. Destiny climbed onto a table. "HEY!!! I'M GONNA THROW THE BOUQUET!!!" she yelled. All of the women who weren't already in the crowd ran into it. Destiny turned around. "Ok! One!! Two!! Three!!" She threw it into the air. Ebony looked down at the ground and at her shoe. Damn, a smudge. She looked up and the bouquet fell into her hands. "Oh no." |
