"I don't care if the vicar knows I like horror movies," she tells Charlie. "The return of Satan's daughter?!" Charlie says, showing her the video. In the living room, Little Mo screams, she thinks she has seen some rats! Charlie, Big Mo and Little Mo crouch by the skirting board to listen for them. "Go on. Out of it you dirty vermin," Mo yells banging on the wall. She then decides they have to rip the skirting board off. "We'll have to sort it out," she orders Charlie. "You go fetch the crowbar, while I get a saucepan each."
Lynne tries to get Beppe to help Garry with his bible study, but he refuses. "You can't blame him," Garry says. "Whoever writes this stuff, they don't make it exciting." "It's because you're not reading it properly," Lynne replies. "Some of those parables are lovely." "And as for romance, all it says is Noah begets a son." "Well, it's a holy bible." "Well, put Noah's wife in a black negligee and then we'll see how many people read it." "If you say anything like that to the vicar I will personally throttle you." "And there's all this begetting," Garry continues. "But there's no mention of this lot ever begetting married."
Back at the Slater's skirting board... "You get ready to pounce," Charlie tells Little Mo. "I don't think I'm going to be very good at pouncing," Little Mo whimpers. "Move out of the way," Mo orders, standing over them wielding a cricket bat. "I'll sort it out." Zoe comes home and informs everyone that they're not rats, but gerbils! "Nan! Will you put that bat down!" Zoe asks But Mo refuses. "If they stick their heads out, I'm knocking them for six."
In the pub Garry confides in Mark, Lisa, Barry and Natalie the true meaning of marriage. "You lot have got it all wrong," He tells them. "A good marriage should be a challenge built on a bedrock of mutual mistrust! It's about man pitting his wits against his oldest foe - the little woman." "Neanderthal man is alive and well and living in Walford," comments Lisa. "Are you sure you're ready to get married?" Mark asks "I might not even have to - if the vicar decides he doesn't like me," Garry plans.
Back at the house, Lynne is horrified at the state of the living room. "What have you done to me?" "Gerbils," Charlie states. When Rev. Lewis arrives, that is when the gerbils appear. Little Mo screams and Big Mo runs after hem with the cricket bat with Zoe running after, pleading with Mo not to hurt them. Lynne is very embarrassed. At tea time, big Mo tries to sell the vicar some knocked-off candles, but Lynne tells him that they're a gift, and won't be charged for them. "Talking of churches," Garry seizes his opportunity. "It reminds me of when I used to go nicking lead with my mates." "You stole lead from Church roofs?" asks the vicar. "Yeah," Garry replies. "The cost of this wedding it might be time to get the ladders out again." The reverend laughs- he thinks it's a joke. "Any preference for the vow?" Rev. Lewis asks them. "We'll go with love, honour and obey," says Lynne. "It's traditional." Garry picks up on the 'obey' part and states; "Let me give you an example. I come in from work. Lynne's watching a film. I want to watch the other side- say West Ham are playing. Now if I tell her to, she switches over and I get a chance to watch the footie." The vicar laughs again- he still thinks Garry is joking. "Really Garry," Lynne smiles. "Anyone would think you were trying to put the Reverend Lewis off marrying us." but he is more determined than ever now to marry them. Lynne smiles, but Garry is unhappy that his plan backfired.
Elsewhere Little Mo agrees to go to the counseling session with Trevor.

Thursday 26th
Lynne is excited about the wedding, but Garry is complaining about having a stomach ache. They are planning to visit the church. Big Mo buys Zoe two more gerbils to replace the two missing ones. Unfortunately one is pregnant and gives birth to six babies. "What'll I tell Lucy?" "It's nature taking it's course, love," Charlie tells her. "I don't think so dad," Zoe replies. "Hers were both boys!"
Little mo is also excited about the wedding and Trevor uses this to his advantage, reminding her of the happy times they had before he blew it. She goes with him to the counseling.. When the counseling is over, Trevor is feigning tears. Little mo is upset for him and goes to get him a tissue. "It's alright," Trevor smiles slyly as she isn't looking. "I'll use my sleeve." A storm brews and his evil smile is heightened by the lightning. Little mo tells him that she will give it another go if he gets better.
Garry's stomach-ache gets worse and Charlie goes to take him to the hospital. In the cab though, Garry lets off a tremendous fart and immediately feels better. "Maybe it was that curry," he says. "Get the windows open," yells Charlie. When Lynne and Garry return from the church, Lynne is furious. A lightning bolt has hit the roof of St Saviours and has caused major damage. "It was just bad luck," Garry says. "Bad luck? More like a flaming judgment! God don't want you in his house!" Lynne shouts at him. "If I find out you're in league with the devil..." She then storms out whilst everyone else laughs.
Monday 30th July
Lynne tries hard to finds a replacement church for the wedding. Garry tells her he has also tried. "You wouldn't lie to me would you?" She asks him. "You know, I'd rather cut off my arm," he replies. "It's not your arm you ought to be worrying about." Big Mo buys a load of food-mixers and passes them to Paul Trueman to sell. He sells the lot and they split the proceeds fifty-fifty. Garry starts a book on the outcome of Dan's trial.
Little Mo agrees to go out to dinner with Trevor. At dinner, she is convinced that he ha changed. Billy spots them in the restaurant and is upset, because Little Mo blew him out to go out with Trevor. At the end of the evening Trevor tells her that he wants to spend the night with her. "I know that's not going to happen, so I won't ask," he adds quickly when he sees her reaction. "I will if you want me to," she tells him. "I know," he responds. "But it's not the right time yet."
Tuesday 31st July
At breakfast, Zoe found her missing gerbils under the sofa and Little Mo is happy after her date with Trevor. In the cafe, Billy lets slip in front of Lynne that he saw Little Mo with Trevor. Big Mo suspects that there is something going on but Lynne won't tell her. "Liars stink worse then rats," Mo says. "And I can smell one coming from fifty paces." When the family catch up with Little Mo she ends up telling them the truth about Trevor and his anger management. She breaks down in tears. "I love him," she weeps. "Why can't you understand that?" Trevor goes round to see the family. "Me and Mo are still husband and wife," he tells them. "I know I haven't been the husband she deserves but I'm willing to do whatever it takes." "Nice words son," Charlie says. "But why do I doubt you can back them up?" "All I'm asking for is a chance." Charlie demands that Little Mo stays with them, but she refuses and leaves with Trevor.
In the pub, Janine flirts with Garry to annoy Terry. When Garry walks her home, he tries to kiss her, but she pushes him away. "They've got a name fir girls like you, you know," Garry tells her, and walks off.
