| In 1902, the American Insular Government in the Philippine Islands established one of the earliest high schools on this site, in the capital town of San Isidro, Nueva Ecija. After the expansion of the school in 1903 and 1904, together with the donation of additional land to the site by Crispulo Kapitan Pulong Sideco and Eufemio Policarpio, Nueva Ecija Governor Epifanio de los Santos and the San Isidro Munisipal President Florencio Miranda ingurated the new facility on October 7, 1905. It was named the Wright Institute, in honor of Governor General Luke E. Wright. It was later renamed the Nueva Ecija High School and the first principal was Mr. T. W. Thompson. In 1927, the Nueva Ecija High School was transferred from San Isidro to Cabanatuan, the new capital, Mr. Harold B. Davis served as the principal, the initial graduates were the 198 members of Class of 1928.
