UFOs and Vehicles

UFOs

These are the native vehicles of the Aliens. They are saucer-shaped flying craft with an antenna-topped domes and they range is size from single person vehicles (like the ones NieA builds) to the size of cities (like the one that brought the aliens to Earth). Essentially, they look like something out of old science fiction movies, or the typical craft that is described in tales of alien abductions.

The only functioning UFOs shown in the NieA Under Seven.series are the two small crafts constructed out of scrap by NieA. They appear to be propelled either by magnetic fields or by cushions of air. How these are generated are unclear, but the engines of both UFOs seem to driven by electrity. While NieA builds at least three UFOs over the course of the series, only two are shown in operation.

Second NieA UFO (4 Mecha Points)

The second functioning UFO, built by NieA in secret after Mayuko forbade her from building it in their room, is initially far more impressive-looking than NieA’s first effort; the sound produced by its engines clearly embody their otherworldly origins and when NieA uses some sort of tractor beam to lift Chiaki up to the vehicle. Like the first functioning craft, this one also appears to be powered by some from or electrical engine. But this time NieA has built a generator into the ship so it has its own power supply. Unfortunately, the generator is a hamster on a hamster wheel. Like the first UFO, it malfunctions and crashes shortly after its launch.

*Special Equipment: Tractor Beam is a fantastic device that uses anti-gravity technology to lift items from the ground toward a hovering UFO. The one on NieA’s UFO can lift up to 100 kilograms, and it has a range of 25 meters.
