Lopez's Iraqi Story Continues.....
This is a picture of the Highway we took to Bagdad. This picture is deceptive, a huge part of the Highway to Bagdad was mostly dirt and gravel with lots of pot hole. I remember following the 5-ton truck that Sergeant Hanley was driving. in a cloud of dirt and dust that the convoy was making. it was difficult to see  what was in front of us most of the way. I was just hoping that we were still on the road and didn't miss any exits.

We didn't get the same warm reception in Bagdad, Iraq  as we did when we entered Kabul in Afghanistan. We didn't get large crowds waving at us. There wasn't to many people out in the streets that day. We all made it to our destination. Wich was Camp Slayer. We set up our satellite dish and Tacsat shelter near Saddam's summer Palace, the one decorated with 15 million dollars worth of Italian marble.
Behind me is Babylon headquarters of the best Cable team in the world..  The U.S. Navy helicopter paid us a visit."Thanks for the Sand Storm guys".  " We were begining  to think you didn't care".I also like to say hello to Alicia,Eulalio,Christina,Clois3,Victor,Ramon,Cristian,and Sabastian.  WE are missing a couple of Sierras stuck in Kuwait :Johns,Howard, BB,Blois,Harland, They are lost in the Desert. lol.
