Promotion Day
Hello everyone, this is me, SGT... er I mean SSG Hanley, and I wanted to share with you some photo's of my promotion.  For me, this promotion was a long time coming (5 years), and I was really excited.  Here's a picture of me just before the ceremony.  I was so stoked, I showed teeth.
This is just a picture of our Company Commander taking off my old SGT stripes, I lovingly refer to this photo as PVT Hanley strikes again...  I look so much different than I did 8 years ago. By the way, the promotion was done in a replica of a Amphetheater, you can see it in the background.
This is a picture of SPC Lopez and SPC Breckenridge pinning my new SSG rank on my collar.  In all seriousness, although I have done alot in the military, solders like them and SPC Carpenter that make me the type of leader that I am.  That's why I thought that it was fitting that they pin it on.
This is me giving the customary after promotion speech.  I don't really remember what I talked about, but by the looks of things I was pretty serious.
Here is where I thank everyone that I think I should thank for my promotion (Get ready, it's a long one).....
Thank you... Sarah, Mom, Dad, the First Sarah Hanley, Mavec, Wolfe, Blose, B-Dub, Johns, Breckenridge, Lopez, Carpenter, Howard, SSG Harlan, CPT Farley (the CO Loves TACSAT), 31S's the world over (without them we wouldn't have a distant end to provide us practice troubleshooting), All the rest of the Hanley's around the world, all the rest of the Read's around the world, all the Kok's around the world (without them I wouldn't have had such a lovely wife!), and last but not least one SPC Romero the guy who took all the pictures, and was once and will always be TACSAT, at least in my mind.  Thank you all, I've learned something from each of you.
