The 16 foot Dish
There is a lot of technical mumbo-jumbo that Army folks use to describe this antenna.  I'll leave all of that out.  To us, this thing is goes hand in hand with the shelter as far as importance, it is what allows us to transmit and recieve signals to the Satellite, which lies approximately 22,600 miles away (give or take a few inches).

It's outward appearance when assembeled dosn't convey the pain in the butt it is when we arrive on sight.  The tires have to be lifted off the ground with 4 large jack-screws.  That is done by hand (of course).  The whole frame must be level before you put the whole thing up, or it simply won't work.

When in storage (as seen below), a whole new set of problems arise.  The way the weight of dish is distributed on the tires make the whole mess unstable.  One sharp turn (around something like a traffic circle just outside the main gate in Germany) and the whole thing can flip.  Of course, it could just be anything you run into.
