The Vampire
Originating Homeplanet: Earth
Race Example:

Common Knowledge:

Vampires (are supposed to) hate life. Being *undead, which I heavily emphasize, they are NOT living. They do not reproduce like humans do (that is not how half vampires are created), although they may have sexual intercourse (the result is always infertility). Vampires generally hang around sites of morbid death (i.e. a site of a suicide), but . Vampires of course, posess super-human strength, but most of the other races do as well. Vampires generally haunt a morbid site of death, such as a suicide site or a battlefield where many died, but not always and they are in no way tied to these places completely or with limitation. Vampires do not need to eat or drink food, but sustain themselves by draining the life force out of beings (usually humans) ocassionally and this of course, does not keep them from being able to eat food. They hate and fear the light, but that does not mean their are blinded or put into mindless terror at the sight of it. Generally vampires are out at night (don't make me explain that), and unless they're up to something desparate they will never go out in daylight. Vampires see time as on their side, and generally go about things meticulously. They will use age to wear down their threats they see as too dangerous to take care of personaly.

Government:

None.

Religion:

Perhaps obscure worship of strange and demonic gods in small percentages of the vampire population. Religion is a big part of life, and vampires are *supposed to hate life.

Common Abilities:

Excellerated regeneration (Healing), able to assume a gaseous form for up to five minutes (unless the vampire is weak or much stronger than the average), able to assume the form of a large bat for several minutes, they can climb sheer surfaces without changing their form or having any problem, and of course, their most feared ability to drain the life out of a character via sucking their blood. This heals them almost instantaneously (but not completely in most cases), and *may turn their victim into a vampire themself.

Forms:

  • Gaseous: vaporous, can't do any attacks but generally can't be hit I would assume also..unless the character attacking a gaseous vampire has some kind of strange attack that logically would allow them to. Vampires move slowly and sort of hover in this form, and this would of course, allow them to pass through door cracks and such.
  • Large bat: As it says...this would allow them to fly from place to place with perhaps less suspition than their normal state.
  • Half vampire: This is not a form normal vampires can take obviously. Through some odd event, half vampires can be produced, an example being Blade (although I wouldn't suggest copying that idea). They have random traits of vampires, but never all. They have the urge to drain the life force from people, but unlike regular vampires, they do not need to do so to sustain themselves. There are different combinations for half vampires..like them having most of a regular vampire's abilities but the half vampire's being far weaker...or having only a few that are like a regular vampire's.
  • Vosgolouth: These are rare vampires that have no abilities of vampires but have an unsatisfiable urge to drain the life force out of people (suck their blood) though it does not benifit them in any way.
