"Ebony Lesbians With Herpes" is a site for adult/mature lesbians with herpes wishing to foster healthy and responsible relationships without the stress of making that dreadful confession.�

I hope that you will find in this site a place where you can openly share your experiences and meet other sistahs in similar situations that are willing to engage in positive and healthy discussions about the challenges of being a lesbian with herpes.�

In lesbian communities, herpes is often written off� as a dirty "male" condition.� The consequences of this stigma is that many lesbians feel embarrassed and filthy which causes them to conceal their condition from lovers.� Given the very nature of our sexual orientation, lesbians are being exposed to STD's, such as herpes, everyday because we are to afraid to speak openly about them.

"Ebony Lesbians With Herpes" wishes to create an environment where we could openly address the issues of herpes and other STD's within the lesbian communities and eventually put an end to ostricizing sistahs with the misfortune of being victimized by someone with an STD. The reality is there are many lesbians out their living with herpes and we should begin to foster healthy relationships with each other to prevent this virus from further spreading throughout our communities.

How do we start?� We start by actively participating in websites such as this one.� By sharing our experiences and concerns,� we begin to knock down those protective barriers we built to conceal our condition.� Only through speaking out about herpes could we begin to liberate our minds, bodies and souls.
