國慶日快樂!
做個公務員四年多了，
以前覺得公務員的工作大概很routine，
後來發現，只要用心，其實可以過得很充實，
辦活動、看一堆評估報告、做調查(這是自己找的)、
參與縣府網站管理(還可以藉機學寫網頁)
前一陣子還到高雄前鎮去學海上求生，
雖然還有一些沒啥價值的行政工作，
整體想想，總該知足了。
因為覺得很忙，怕日久沒長進，
所以就申請回台大海洋所生物及漁業組博士班在職進修
一週一天半公假，本來感覺少，後來想想，
等於三年有一年在上課，還可以領薪水，其實不少。
註冊那一天，把台大走了一遍，雖然有些改變，
椰林大道底的新總圖即將開幕，還有一些新建築及新式學生證，
不過一號館那種陰森森的感覺及女生宿舍的消毒味還是一個樣子。
有一點景物依舊，人事已非的感覺。

在高中的時候，會很想創造一些新的東西，
看到分子生物的東西會覺得希望無限，
而現在辦資源保育的業務，
最想做的，卻只是試著讓環境維持現狀。
卻常常不可行，看核四的角力戰就可知一二。
前陣子，坐巡護船從海上看野柳和東北角，
和陸上看又是另一番風味，
自然的美是值得崇敬與尊重的，
哪天藍色公路如果能行，再到海上去看看吧!
十一月有個計畫要到美國加州及夏威夷州參觀漁港及休閒漁業
本來只打算到舊金山，可以去看看小珍和培馨，
結果行程一排排到連Los Angles、San Diego ，都要順道去看，
這下可以抽空去看San Diego據說是世界最大的zoo。
Handsome在高醫的學業進入第四年，現在在醫院見習，
會在公元2000年畢業，
只是，畢業後的日子大概只會更忙罷!
韓行堯要過三歲生日了,看他半大不小的樣子，
一方面想獨立，一方面又擺脫不掉對大人的依賴，
煞是可愛，有時也有些煩人，
祝他生日快樂。
也祝大家活得充實自在。

I checked out the SuperNews site. It does seemed to carry all th tw.bbs., but is a little bit slow. My school carried all the groups. I once tried to give out the news server to a friend, but our news server may check the IP of the requester to make sure
ts internal request. So that friend of mine has to turn to public server, too.
As for ICQ, I checked it out carefully after Rabbit told me to. Then I found out that it is still in beta, the software may be time-limited, and commercial version may be coming soon. I eventually decided not to use it. I will check out the instant messan

同正、慶裕：我用AOL的Instant Messenger.是Netscape4.0以上有附送的，也可以上AOL去抓。它功能比ICQ簡單一些，但是可以用中文。有一個好處是可以不用類似ICQ的編號，利用自己登錄在AOL的Screen name上線即可。也可以用E-mail找找看有沒有好友的Screen name在線上。

To Rabbit: when we went back to Taiwan, we had transit flight at Vancouver. We thought about calling you up and see if we can chat for a while at the airport, but we did not make it. On the way to Taiwan, our first flight was delayed, so we were forced to
