NetSend is a small and simple NT GUI utility to send messages via MS LAN Manager to lists of recipients. It works in the same manner as "net send" command.

The utility can be used if you need to send the same message to groups of people. For instance, you are going to update some server software and have to ask the users who work with the software to log off.

Version 2.00 allows to send message to connected users and has some minor changes in functionality. But the internals were completely re-done, so I hope you'll excuse me possible bugs. Let me know if you find them, please.

Versions before 1.20 stored programs data under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key. It allowed to share lists for all users of the computer, but because of some security restrictions on NT2000 it caused Access Denied error for non-administrators. Version 1.20 stores data under HKEY_CURRENT_USER.

P.S. Netsend requires MFC42.DLL v6.00 or above. If you get an error message like "The ordinal 6883 could not be located in the dynamic link library MFC42.DLL." just copy it to the folder where netsend.exe is.
