Somnam is finnish experimental ambient project of multi-instrumentalist Modnar. Somnam started late 2005 or early 2006 and first demo When Breathing Ends was released very soon after that. Breathing presented dark ambiences and painfully long tracks. On the second demo Weeping Streets and Crying Cities Somnam continued with dark atmospheres but this time with easier and shorter songs. Both demos were released only in web.
Melancholy's Masquerade is first official album from Somnam and was released 24.12.2007through Paradigms Recordings. Nine pieces of tribal and cinematic ambient. Check samples from here: http://www.myspace.com/s0mnam
