| What is the NTYMC all about? |
| The North Tyneside Youth Music Collective was set up to do 2 main things 1 Raise the awaerness that there is a massive wealth of great youth musicians and bands in the North Tyneside. 2 Help give young people expirience of not only playing on stage but working in Publicity and Technical areas of Music. The Collective is based at North Shields YMCA Basement and works with the YMCA closely. The Basement at the YMCA in North Shields is a regular venue for the bands in the Collective and is als used for meetings and other admin aspects. As well as hosting gigs by a indirvidual bands in the Basement the NTYMC also holds an Event called SHOWCASE! These are held outside of the YMCA in bigger venues and are always well attended by hundreds of fans as well as people from the local music industry and beyond....... Many youth bands who started out in the Basement at the YMCA now play in around pubs and clubs around the region as a result of the expirience they have gained with the Collective We are always on the look out for new talent so if you are in a Youth Band in the area feel free to E-mail NTYMC [email protected] |
