How It All Started
Fate seemed to bring these five dudes together. Each came from a different place, so how could this have ever happened? It must really be fate, because everything happens for a reason, and everyone of them met through another person.
The group started out in Orlando, Florida. Jc Chasez came down there from Washington DC, to do a TV show. The TV show was on the Disney Channel called the New Mickey Mouse Club (MMC). During the first year, 1990, he met Joey Fatone through a mutual friend. When Jc had some time off, they hung out.
Jc had been on MMC for two years when they added some new cast members. Some well known were; Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake. When the new cast members were added in 1992, Justin was 12 and Jc was 16.
While Joey was in Orlando with his parents, bother, and sister, he was also going to school. However, he also worked at Universal Studios. Chris Kirkpatrick had also been working Universal Studios, when he met Joey. Chris had also met Justin at some auditions they were both at.
When MMC went off air, Justin went back home to Memphis, Tennessee. He went to school for one year when he was 13, and he started working with a vocal coach. One day Justin got a call from Chris, talking about a new musical group. Justin jumped at the opportunity. He went right back to Orlando.
"After I got the call from Chris," Justin explains, "I immediately called Jc." Once the three of them reunited, Justin, Jc, & Chris moved into a large white house in Orlando with Justin's parents, Paul & Lynn Harless.
"One night they were at a club," quoted from Joey, "and I was a little confused. 'Cause I had never seen Jc & Chris together before. Later the night, they said that they were starting a musical group." After Joey joined, they had a group, but they didn't have n-s-y-n-c, or the NSYNC we know and love. "We knew we needed somebody else," Chris says, "because Joey was the lowest and we still didn't have a bass sound. We needed that round thing." That's when they found Jason. After Justin's mother, Lynn, came up with the name NSYNC, meaning; JustiN, ChriS, JoeY, JasoN, & JC, Jason desided that NSYNC wasn't going to be anything, so he dropped out. (He's probably kicking her self right now!) (He also dropped out of the Backstreet Boys, idoit!) After he left, they needed that bass voice, and the second N. After a while, they still couldn't find anyone to fill the stop. So, Justin called his old vocal coach. His vocal coach said, "I only know of one person who you're looking for. His name is Lance Bass. He's 16, and lives in Clinton, Mississippi." So, when Lance tried out, he fit the spot instantly, and he was in!
The five guys formed N Sync in October of 1994. To have N-S-Y-N-C work, they had to use the nick-name Lancesten. Finally, after a year of singing at night clubs, they went to Europe and did a little demo video. Right after they showed International RCA they got signed. After they they got signed to RCA Recoreds, with Lou Pearlman, in charge of RCA Records. Then they made their first CD, N Sync. Soon enough they were here in America, performing on MTV, and were the first preformers on TRL. A year after they're big preformance on TRL they had big Disney Concert & made their Christmas album; Home For Christmas.
When they thought that RCA Records was cheeting them, they soud them. After a year of fighting, and making their next album, No Strings Attached, they were off RCA Record Label. They got a new magager, Johnny Wright, but still  no record label. The guys wanted to join Jive, Jive took them up on that.
Once they got on the label. The writing for their album was over, but they still needed to record. Soon enough, No Strings Attached was in stores, and in the hands of millions. That was the album, which broke the record! Selling 3.4 million copies in the first week of sales!
*NSYNC's fame has just climbed. Now they are the hottest group of our time! Even though Celebrity didn't beat the old record, it doesn't matter *NSYNC still hold the record!
Joey & Lance made a movie, On The Line. A romantic comity, about a man who loses "the one" on a train, and he'll do anything to get her back. I saw the movie, and my review..... if you like cute movies, go see it (when it comes out on video, it's not in thearders and more), but if you like hot teen movies, please, it's not what you want to see. I liked it, but I much like movies that are all, like Lance said, "we cut one seen, and it became a PG movie". Even though Lance is half naked in one of the seans, it doesn't make a difference. It's still a PG movie, a five year old could watch it, it so not a hormonal guy looking for the girl he had a one night stand with, that's too bad, because that would make it a lot better!
They guys did the HUGE PopOddyesse tour from April - August 2002. After about nine months after Celebrity came out the guys decided a new tour. In March they went on the two and a half month Celebrity tour. It was an intamite tour, which new & classic all *NSYNC ballads.
Now, Joey was on Rent from June - December of 2002, and he has a daughter, Brianna, who was born April 25(or 26, we don't know), 2001. Fatone has claimed to be getting married to his high school sweet heart Kelly Baldwin, when there is enoguh time.
Justin's new album, Justified, sold a surprising 5 million copies so far (as of mid January). In the summer of 2003, Timberlake will co-headlining a  tour with former Mousekatter, Christina Agulira. Christina has insisted this will be the tour of the summer! As far as anyone else says, it will just be a cool tour, but I have a feeling, it's going to be the "Teen Tour of the Summer."
Lance has finally gotten the OK to go to space, he's home in America Now, but he'll have to go back to Russia for more trianing soon.
Jc is working on some solo stuff too. Jc's some-what new single She's Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love) is standing strong on 6-13th place on TRL. Moving places every day. The video is for the Nick Cannon movie, Drumline. The video also stars Carson Dally's X flame Tara Reed as the female lead.
