The Chief Shop Steward is the locals direct representative and spokesman in absence of the local President and Vice President. The Chief Steward is responsible for day to day business on his/her tour.
The Steward is the Daily Liaison between the Union Members and the Union Officers. Responsible for initial representation of Union Officers in adverse actions and grievances.
