Izabella sniffled and pushed a branch out of her way. Her family was a family of vampire slayers...and needless to say everything got to her once in a while. This was one of those times. Here she was having to be out hunting on a Friday night instead of her high school prom. A howl caught her attention. She stopped to listen for sounds of her family. They told her they rathered the city than the woods..so they never stayed long with her. Izabella being a nature freak rathered the serinity of the woods. All of a sudden a wolf came running at her. Izabella screamed and took off running. It was close behind her she could
hear it breathing very well. Her foot caught on a branch and she fell with a scream. She turned to see the wolf jumping at her but it never made it. The wolfs neck was easily snapped.
He smiled at her "You should be careful out here by yourself at night."
Izabella stood up "Thank you for that information Justin."
She knew him from school. He was her enemy. He made her school life hell because he knew who she was. And nobody else knew. Most people believed that vampires could only come out at night. That wasn't true at all. Justin had a ring that he wore that enabled him to be in sunlight for so long. But he wasn't as strong during the day. Izabella shivered in the night air. She had never run into him at night, while he was at his most powerful moment.
He smiled "You're bleeding."
"No I'm not. I don't feel anything hurting." she told him looking herself over.
"Yes....you are. I can smell it." Justin said calmly.
Izabella took a step backwards "We don't have to do this you know. I don't like killing as hard as it may be for you to believe."
"I actually have no trouble believing you. If you liked killing you would have already tried to kill me. But you would not have succeeded." he told her.
"Well jackass you haven't tried to kill me yet either." Izabella said sarcastically.
Justin actually laughed at that one "Touche. I actually find the world to be more fun with you in it Izzy. If I kill you...thats it...nothing left. No challenge. Whats the fun in that?"
"Yeah go me. It rocks to be a damn challenge. Can I go now?" she asked him.
He noticed her eyes were red "You've been crying."
"So?" she challenged.
"I didn't mean anything by it. What's wrong?" he asked.
Izabella looked at him "In case you forgot...prom is tonight. And I had to be here. Family duty and all."
Justin looked her over "I think you had every right to skip one night and go to your prom. In fact...i insist you go. It isn't over."
"I don't have anything to wear and nobody to go with. It's too late." she told him.
He snapped his fingers and a girl they attended school with came from behind some trees. Justin looked at her "Give Izabella your dress."
It was white satin and tied around the neck. It fell below the girls knees. she took it off and handed it to her.
"I...I can't." Izabella said.
Justin took it and walked closer to her. "Take the dress Izabella."
She slowly took it and looked at him "Why are you doing this?"
"Challenge...remember?" He said with a smirk.
Izabella rolled her eyes and went behind a tree to put the dress on. It was a perfect fit. The girl came bring her some white sandals and she slipped those on as well. She came out and Justin already had a tux on. "You're taking me?"
He looked her up and down slowly "You object?"
"I...no." she said slowly.
He held out his hand "Are you scared?"
Izabella nodded "Terriefied."
She slowly intertwined her hand with his and they walked the short distance to thier school. The gym was beautifully decorated into a enchanting forest of all things.
"Let's dance shall we?" Justin asked.
Izabella looked at him "I don't know if we should."
Justin grabbed her and pulled her to him "We should."
She slowly put her hands on his chest and swayed to the rhythm of the music. "I can honestly say I have never been this close to a vampire without kicking his ass."
Justin chuckled "Exciting isn't it?"
Izabella looked at him and smiled "In a way. I have to say my heartbeat is off the charts."
"I know...I can feel it." Justin said.
Izabella looked at him intently while he moved her hair behind her shoulders.
"Your neck." he said.
"What about my neck? Justin if you're gettin any funny ideas..." she said starting to pull away but he held her closer.
"No...your neck has a small cut on it. Thats the blood I could smell. It's bleeding." he said looking in her eyes.
"Oh...well um...ill go clean it so it doesnt ya know...bother you ..." she said.
Justin held her in place and before she knew it his lips covered over her neck.
"Justin..." she said startled.
"Shhh I won't hurt you." he whispered.
Izabella gulped and waited to see what he would do. Her knees almost gave way when his tongue gently licked the wound clean and he kissed her neck one last time.
"There. All better." he said staring in her eyes.
She looked down "Thank you I think."
Justin looked around "Timeee to go."
"What? Whats wrong?" Izabella asked.
"Trust me Izzy lets get out of here. " he said grabbing her hand and heading to the back.
They ran out of the back entrance and a stick immediately hit Justin in the stomach.
Izabella screamed and a hand clamped over her mouth.
"It's ok Izabella." Her father said.
She let a tear fall down her face as her brother beat Justin until he wasn't moving. Her father lifted her and put her in the van.
When they got home her mother helped her dress and looked at the cut on her neck.
"It's not what you think. I cut it on a stick when i fell." Izabella said.
"Alright then. To bed with you. We'll discuss this in the morning." Her mother said pulling the covers over her.
Izabella waited about an hour until she was sure they were all asleep then she put on some clothes and climbed out her window. She ran to the woods and walked around. "Oh come on I know ONE of you are out here."
"Aren't we always?" a guy said walking from behind a tree.
She rolled her eyes "Anyway...can you please tell me where Justin is?"
"Normally I'd just snap your little neck...but...he has sent word out if we saw you to bring you to him. So...follow me." he said walking away.
Izabella walked into the cave he led her to.
"Go to the end and that is where he will be." he said leaving her.
She walked to the end and saw a dim light. When she got closer she saw him laying in a bed. He was covered by black satin sheets only.
"Justin? she asked slowly.
He looked at her "I thought you might come. Have a seat."
She sat on the end of the bed and toyed with the zipper on her cotton pull over.
"I'm sorry."
"For what?" he asked taking her hand.
"For leaving you there like that after all you did for me tonight." she said looking at him, tears streaming down her face.
Justin sat up, the sheet falling from his chest "I'm a vampire Izzy...we heel very quickly. I'm fine now."
"I...I know that. I just....had to tell you...that I wouldnt have done that. I'm not cruel like my parents. I mean i know im a slayer but I never torture anybody. I couldn't be like my family." she said sniffling.
Justin put his arms around her and she tensed. He was waiting for her to pull away but she didnt. "Are you still scared of me Izzy?"
She stared into his eyes "Yes, but not fear you'll hurt me."
"What kind of fear then?" he asked with a smile.
She laced her fingers with his "Fear of what im feeling right now."
Justin traced her face with his finger "And what are you feeling right now?"
"This..." she whispered, then brought her lips to his.
Justin was a little surprised, but soon fell into the kiss.
Izabella broke the kiss "And just because of this do not think that I won't be a challenge anymore because...HEY!"
Justin pushed her backwards on the bed "Shut up..."
She laughed when he lay on top of her "Why should I?"
"Because.. I'm gonna bite your ass if you don't." he growled.
Izabella stopped him and looked at him innocently "You'd bite my ASS???"
Justin had to laugh "You KNOW what i meant Izzy...come onnnn"
She watched as he slowly unzipped her sweater and pulled it off of her, then did the same with her pants, until she was only in her bra and thong.
"Very nice. You're beautiful." he whispered.
She flipped them over so she was on top and pulled the sheets over them "You are too slow Timberlake."
"Oh yeah?" he asked, his eyes flickereing with lust.
In seconds he ripped her thong off with his hand and her bra with his fangs, and flipped them back over, the sheets never leaving them.
"I see those teeth are useful for more than killing." she said with a giggle.
"Very." Justin agreed. He kissed his way down her chin and to her neck.
She shivered from his cold touch.
"You're cold." he said.
"No....you are." she said back.
Justin sat up "You're right. I haven't done this with a human in quite some time. I'll start a fire up."
Izabella watched his firm body walk over and light the fire, then walk back and climb in the bed next to her. She snuggled up to his chest and sucked on his neck. "When do you do it?"
He knew what she was talking about "When they are too caught up in the moment to realize what is going to happen."
She reached below the sheets and began rubbing him "Would this be a good time?"
"Hmmm...yeah. PERFECT time. Damn..." he grunted.
He flipped them over again "I'm tired of playing Izzy...tell me you want this..."
"I want this...." she whispered in his ear.
That was all he needed. He thrust into her slowly.
"Ohhhh god." she breathed.
Justin kissed her and started a rhythm.
"Keep going..." Izabella panted.
"Trust me I'm not stopping " Justin got out.
She wrapped her legs around his weist "Justin...."
"No..." he said.
She grabbed his face "Please....i want to be with you forever...."
He felt himself nearing climax "Izabella..."
"Please! I...I love you.." she said crying...
Justin kissed her tears away then sunk his teeth into her neck as both of them hit there release.
The only sound she made was a tiny whimper. He sucked her sweet blood until he felt her pulse stop, then covered her cold body.
The next morning Izabella woke with a scream. Justin held her to him "It's ok I'm here."
She turned to look at him "Thith is weird....I men...this....damn teeth."
Justin laughed "Fangs baby....gotta get used to em."
She used her tongue to run them along the now pointy teeth. "Yeah...I can deal I can't go home now though. I'd die when I walked through the door. We had so many crosses, garlic, holy water...you name it."
"You can live here with me. Not that I would have let you go home anyway..." Justin said wrapping her tightly in his arms.
"Hmmmm....what if im not enough of a challenge...." she teased.
"Wellll then we'll just have to be creative." he said with a smile.
Izabella laughed "Can we be creative right now? Your neck is lookin mighty yummy...."
Justin laughed and let her pin him as they made love all day and all night...and lived many many...thousands of thousands years together forever happy in love.
