Chapter 10
Justin sat with a mug of hot chocolate in his hands and a warm blanket around his ice cold body. "What happened when the gun went off?" he wondered, taking a sip of the warm liquid.
"Well, it was pointed at my head and I was thinking, �Oh, this is it!? Chris was explaining. "Just then, April comes behind her and pulls her backwards. The bullet went into the ceiling!"
"Yeah, and after that, there was a �cat fight?between the two girls!" Joey laughed.
"That was NO �cat fight?Joey Fatone," April said. "Cat fights are where you scratch each others eyes out. This fight involved fists!"
"To me, when ever a girl fights, it is considered a �cat fight?" Joey told her, throwing his hands up in the air.
"Well then, Phat-One, would YOU like to be involved in a �cat fight??!" April wondered, punching her fist into her other hand.
Laughter spread throughout the room. "Hey Justin," JC was saying. "Justin?" Justin sat drinking some more of his hot chocolate, staring down at the floor. "Justin!?!"
"It�s as if he doesn�t know his own name!" April heard Chris whisper to Joey.
April took a seat next to Justin. "Creature," she whispered in his ear.
His head shot up. "What?" Justin saw JC�s angered face. "What�s wrong?"
"I�ve called your name at least TEN TIMES!" JC yelled.
"You...You did?" Justin wondered.
"YES!" The other four members of Nsync replied.
"When he did, you seemed like it wasn�t your name! What�s up with that!?!" Joey wondered.
Justin put his head in his hands, then stood up. "I need a little fresh air," Justin said, excusing himself.
They watched as he walked up the door. JC then looked at April. "What did you whisper to him?" he asked, curiously.
"Creature," she answered softly.
"Creature?" Joey repeated. "What�s up with that?"
Sighing, April began to explain. "Every day and every night, Julia called him �Creature?instead of Justin. I guess he just forgot that Justin was his real name."
"But why?" Lance wondered.
"Julia said that she wanted to strip every last bit of dignity out of him. That�s why she stripped him and called him �Creature?and cut him with her sword, and starved him."
There was a moment of silence at which everyone stared at their feet. "I think I�m gonna go check on Justin," April said, standing up.
Opening the front door, which he had walked out of, April sat beside Justin, who was staring up at the stars. "Hey!" she greeted.
Justin looked over at her. "Hey," he replied, then looked back up at the stars. They stared up at the stars in silence. "April...I�m SO confused!"
"How so?" April wondered.
"For the past three weeks I haven�t been able to talk or eat, I�ve had to sleep STANDING UP...I mean, I don�t even respond whenever somebody calls me my REAL NAME!" He lowered his head in between his knees.
Silence once again overtook them. "Don�t worry, Justin. You�ll go back to the way you were before."
He looked up at April with hopeful eyes. "Really?" he asked.
"Well... I�m sure the guys don�t want you to go back to that �Girl Crazy Guy!? They both laughed.
"April?" Justin began. She looked over at him. "Thank you so much for getting the guys!"
She smiled at him. "You�re welcome!" They gazed up at the stars again. "They�re so beautiful!" April exclaimed.
Justin looked over at her. "YOU�RE very beautiful!" She looked over and met his gaze. He began to lean closer...closer...and closer still until their lips finally touched.
