Chapter 2

"Hey this is Justin! N-E-Who, leave your message after the beep and I'll get back to you...if I feel like it. *laugh* Just kidding." There was a loud beeping noise.

"Justin, this is JC. You better call me back when you get this message!" JC slammed the phone on the hook.

"Still not answering?" Joey assumed. JC nodded his head.

"He's probably with some girl," Chris suggested. "You know how women fawn over him!"

"But wouldn't he have called?" JC wondered.

"Not if he forgot," Lance said.

Sighing, JC said, "I don't know guys. We haven't seen him since eight yesterday MORNING!" Glancing down at his watch, he read the time. "It's already FOUR IN THE AFTERNOON THE NEXT DAY!"

"If you're so worried about him, go look for him!" Joey suggested. JC picked up his leather coat and headed out the door.

A few minutes later, he pulled up infront of the BLUE AND RED CLUB. Seeing Justin's red Mercedes, JC climbed out of the car and walked into the club. Scanning the few people there, he saw no sign of Justin. "Hey Peter!" JC greeted the bartender.

"JC! Haven't seen you in here for a LONG time!" JC sat down on a stool. "What can I do for you?"

"Have you seen Justin?"

"Yeah, he was here last night!" Peter said.

"Do you know where he went and why his car is still parked outside?"

Peter glanced out the window and saw the car. "I don't, I'm sorry," he said. "Why? What's wrong?"

"I've been trying to call him, but he won't answer his cell!" JC sighed.

"He's probably with some girl," Peter chuckled. "You know how he is!"

Justin opened his eyes and stared at a wooden floor. He tried to sit up, but found that his hands were chained to the wood. "So, you're awake!"

Lifting his head up, Justin stared at a brown haired girl. "Julia!" Once again, he tried to sit up, but failed. "Would you unchain me?" he asked.

"No," she chuckled.

He stared at her questioningly. "Would you do me at least let me sit up?" Justin asked. "I'm getting a crank in my neck from staring up all the time."

"You know, I was debating whether to keep you like this or in another position," she said, placing a finger on her chin. "Take your pick. Do you want this one, or the other one?"

"What's the other one?" Justin wondered.

"This one, or the other one?" Julia repeated, ignoring the question she was asked.

Justin thought. "The other one," he sighed.

Smiling, Julia untied the chain from the floor and allowed Justin to sit up for a moment. "Ready to be rechained?" she asked and he stared up at her.

"Rechained?" he repeated. "You mean, this isn't the position?"

Julia shook her head. "Stand up," she ordered. As directed to, Justin got to his feet.

Standing on a stool, Julia took the chain and tied him to a wooden beam on the ceiling. Justin looked up at his hands, then straight across at Julia who had gotten off the stool. "Where am I?" he asked.

"In my attic."

"What are we going to do NOW!?!" JC asked, placing his head in his hands.

"As I said before," Chris said, "Justin's probably out 'having fun'."

"He's right," Lance said. "We have to remain optimistic!" There was a knock on the door. "Come in!" The door opened. "Hey Lex!" he greeted their bodyguard. "What's up?"

"Someone wants to see you," Lex answered.

He exited and the four men watched as a girl with long, dark hair entered the room. "Listen, we're kinda worried about Justin so we won't be giving autographs, pictures, be having interviews-"

"But I'm here ABOUT Justin!"

The men looked up from the circular table and stared at her. JC stood up and walked over to her. "What about Justin?" She handed him a piece of paper and turned around to leave, but JC grabbed her arm. "You're going to stay with us until I've read this note!"

She was dragged over and set down in the chair next to JC. He opened the letter and began to read it aloud. " 'Dear N Stink..'" He looked over at the girl. "That's nice!"

"I'm sorry, I didn't write it!"

Rolling his eyes, JC continued with the letter. "'I will be holding your dear friend, Justin, until you deliver a certain amount of money. Namely.." JC paused and looked at the girl again. "TWO MILLION DOLLARS!?!?!?!?!"

She shrugged. "I didn't write THAT either!"

"'My messenger will be back to receive the money when I send her. If you don't have the money, you may have to give up your singing career. Either that or continue and be Sync!?"

"Now, Creature," Julia said.

"Justin," he corrected her.

"I will call you whatever I like," Julia began, "and you will answer to whatever I call you. Do you understand, Creature?" Clenching his teeth, Justin nodded. "Anyway, I want you to sing for me!"

He looked at her. "Heck no!" he exclaimed.

"You will do as you're told!" Julia notified him. "And just for that, you won't get any food today!"

"Why are you doing this to me!?!" he demanded. "What have I done to you?"

"You know, I used to think you were the hottest guy in the entire world," Julia began. "I sent you letter after letter, e-mail after e-mail. Then one day, I asked if you would send me some concert tickets so I could go there for my birthday. Do you remember what you said?" Justin shook his head. "You said 'I'm sorry, but we don't give tickets to nobodies like you!'" Justin stared at the ground. "'Nobodies like you,'" she repeated. "Well, now I'm going to make YOU a nobody."

He stared back up at her. "And how do you plan to do that?!?"

"First of all, I'm going to strip every last bit of dignity you have." Julia went into the corner an grabbed a sword.

Justin stared at the sword. "Wh-What are you going to do with that?" he asked, horrified.

She only smiled. "Watch and find out." She raised the knife to his throat.
